    Default how come....

when ever i get a new juice, i end up loving it for around 2 days. after that, the taste gets mediocre. a week later after vaping it to the end of the world; i can barely taste it, and if i choose to continue for a month vaping it trying to get what little flavor i can get out of it, i can only taste the VG or PG around day 20 of vaping my "all day's"

is it my taste buds? or is it the juice?

i just got a 10ml bottle of ecto plasma. and this stuff is amazing! but for how long, i guess i will update in about a week.
i'm scared to order 30ml of it on a whim, much like how i ordered 30 ml of Mrs T's Vanilla custard after trying a 6ml sample i bought. a week later, i really couldn't taste teh vanilla anymore. =( i should also note; i stopped vaping for 2 weeks all together to let my taste buds re-adjust to plain old air. i did get my taste back, but the process repeated again =\

stronger juices i taste test at a local vendor taste really really really really good when i'm at my local vendor. but then when i get home, after vaping it on the drive back, i've come to find it's either not tasty anymore or i feel a big throat hit from it and ruins the taste/experience.

i'm finding that i have to switch to entirely different vendors in order to keep vaping good tasting juice.

is it me? or is it the nicotine they are using to mix it with? i know they're grades of nicotine out there... so i'm just at a ponder.

does anyone else have this problem?

This is a great question and sorry for your quandary. Disappointing to say the least and expensive! I've noticed this a little and I did notice it with Ms. T's Vanilla Cupcake Cake Icing which is my addiction right now...but...I did notice like first vaping it in the morning it had an awesome flavor but seemed to be the warmer it got, longer I vaped it, the taste lessened so maybe it had something to do with voltage although I'm only on an eGo T 650mah batter and vaped it in a Vision Clearomizer. Haven't tried it yet in a Ego Mega Dual Coil Cart yet but I have a feeling the taste will be different there. I'm interested to hear answers/theories on this one so will keep an eye on this thread. Thanks for sharing and asking.

I think most of us have to switch around often as the tastebuds get "immune" to a particular juice after a time. I rotate flavors quite often and sometimes even go unflavored for a while. I still buy large bottles as most juices just get better with age anyway...

Anything we eat, drink, or in this case, vape day after day can get old. I'm mostly a Camel juice vaper. It satisfies my tobacco desires, but it gets old and I switch around here and there. Variety is good.

Drinking lots of water helps to keep the taste buds alive. Vaping tends to dry out the mucous membranes. Staying hydrated is probably the best way to retain taste.

hmm. i've actually tried to do extensive research on this before. it was around the time i was forced to stop vaping all together.
i couldn't find information on it because i didn't know the exact term for it nor if it's a side effect of vaping.

the reason i was forced to stop was because all the juices i vaped at that time no matter what company, flavor, mix, or device i used; it had no taste to me what so ever.

i'm scared that will happen again and i don't want that =S

I drink plenty of water...I think someone mentioned in the forum that a carbonated drink can help to cleanse the palate. I also vape between 5-8 different flavors per day...to keep the experience interesting and alive. I have yet to vape just one flavor all day.

For me steeping vastly improves some flavors, but I haven't been vaping long enough to learn whether or not any of my juices are losing flavor over time.

For me, for now, it still beats the heck out of smoking analogs. God I love being away from all that smoke!

I think the "flavors" you may have tried are probably too flavored--your palate gets so accustom to the theatrics of it that it becomes invisible. A lot of juices are mixed to be immediately tasty and as close to what it is trying to mimic as possible. That said, what ends up happening is the juice becomes like a pop song that gets played out after a short run of acceptance. There has to be some depth and character. The juices that I have found that withstand the test of time are more deceptively good and subtly charged. The juices that have staying power, are not always the ones that will make you do flips at first taste. I like to vape juices with some vaping sustenance, as opposed to juices with fizzle and die extras.

Like circuit training when you work out, you switch up the work out alot to shock the muscles and get better results, ive noticed the same to be true with vaping, switching up flavors keeps your tongue on its toes...? buds? Anyway, I rarely vape the same juice two days in a row. Good luck in finding your sweet spot.
