Default My First EJuice Experience (Mom and Pops Ejuices)

Hey guys so I've just been getting into the vaping thing I'd say for the past month or so. After buying a bunch of pre-filled carto's from V2(Where I got my starter kit) I decided to try some juices. For the record let me say that I was a big fan of V2's Sahara flavor but I was disappointed to see that they didn't offer it in a stronger concentration. So I decided to go with Mom and Pops Vapor shop for my first order, as I've heard lots of good things and they were closer to me than V2 anyways. On to the order and review!

RYO- Mom and Pops advertises this as a flavor they don't even like but they get a lot of requests for the closest thing to smoking an analog cigarette. Doesn't really have a ton of flavor other than a seriously nutty flavor. Good throat hit and vapor output.

Virginia Fire Cured- I was really looking forward to this one and was a little disappointed. It got decent reviews and was advertised as a Virginia tobacco. Ended up tasting like cheap womens perfume. I suppose I'll let it steep and see if the flavors come together but the cheap perfume flavor was just so strong.

10Forty- Advertised again as a flavor for smokers. Tasted kinda like the Virginia Fire Cured but a little less strong which was good. Still too heavy on the sweetness/perfume flavor for my liking.

I was also thinking about maybe mixing the RYO with some of these since that has an almost unnoticeable flavor while the other ones seem way too strong. Any opinions on that?

    American Bled-

Not sure why this got cut off but:

American Blend- Tasted really similar to the Virginia and 10Forty but with a hint of licorice? I hate licorice but surprisingly it made the perfume-y flavor a little more tolerable. Again, not great.

So that was my first experience with juices. I'm not sure if the fact that I filled 4 carto's and then used them on 2 diff batteries shortly there after makes a difference(if there was juice or residue left on the threading or anything). Maybe that's why 3 of them tasted really similar? Anyone with mom and pop experience have any advice for steeping?

I'll keep looking for MY flavor but these just aren't it yet. If anyone knows of anything that tastes similar to the V2 Sahara flavor but has a stronger concentration of nicotine, let me know!

Not sure about that but have seen a lot of sampler packs you might want to try or go directly to the vendors on this site they are very helpful.

I'm thinking of mixing as well. Worse case scenario just try it out in small batches and see what works. I'm probably going to do the same. There are so much variety and possibilities. I'm probably going to be either doing the DIY or buying a bunch of sampler packs from some vendors on this site.

I'm gonna try out some non tobacco flavors. I'm sure theres a natural tobacco flavor out there for me but I don't want to keep spending money on stuff I'm not going to like

I wasn't a fan of mom and pop juices however the blank cartos and customer service is terrific. I ordered 3 flavors and did not care for any of them even after they steeped for a month. I use a provari with a phiniac tank which is awesome. I just started receiving my orders from nightlitevapor and their juices are very good. It takes a while to get your order but is well worth the wait.

You might not need to steep them. It could take months after quitting smoking for your taste buds to adjust. I couldn't stand most juices I got when I started and just switched to unflavored- those first juices I revisited after just a week and they were great. I didn't feel good after I went and told folks they were lousy and then ended up great, lol.

Early on I was mainly just looking for a perfect tobacco vape, and I seemed to get that perfumey taste from a lot of them as well. I have not tried the V2 flavor you mentioned, but here are a few tobacco juices that I really enjoyed, and did not give me any sort of perfumey taste or aroma. (I'm really sensitive to that)

    AVE - Boba's Bounty
    Backwoods Brew - Casablanca
Heathers Heavenly Vapes - Gandalf (her other tobaccos from their Purity line are getting great reviews, I just haven't tried them)

    Good luck!

Thanks for the tip. Good to know that this perfumey taste is pretty common which reaffirms my desire to try non-tobacco flavors. I've heard a lot of good stuff about AVE so I think I'll be trying them next.

Right now my all day vape has been the American Blend. I filled a few cartos with a mix of that and the RYO and that seems like it'll be perfect. No clue what I'm going to do with these other juices now
