Default Need help with eliquid question

I'm still sorta new at this vapeing thing. I'm using an ego-v v2 and a protank 2. The local vape shop sells 100% vg liquid. It is very thin and I don't get much vapor at all compared to other brands. Should I be doing something different or do they just thin it way to much. It's smoking revolution brand e liquid. Only reason I want to keep going there is that they have some of the boldest flavors I've ever tried.

If it is 100% VG, you should be getting a lot more vapor. The higher the VG, the more vapor, whereas the more PG, the more of a throat hit you'll get. If you go here: http://ejuice.moonfruit.com, they explain it better. Hope this helps a little bit.

From what I've read more PG makes the liquid thinner and supposedly produces more of a throat hit with less vapor while the VG basically has the opposite characteristics. (Less throat hit but more vapor). But, that's based on what I've read. I suspect the nicotine % has some say in the throat hit too.

There has been a lot of talk lately debating the whole PG/VG thing. many are saying that all things being equal, the vapor/throat hit debate loses accuracy. I use 50/50 and get more than enough vapor for an ex pipe smoker, throat from my 12 mg/L juice is fine too. Yes, I inhaled my pipe, I know, I know. Personally, I think it has a lot to do with your equipment and how you use it. Wow, that rings true for so many things, lol. By the way, never met a 100% VG juice with any flavor, but that's been a B&Ms that call it 'all natural'. Good luck and have fun!

If its 100% vg it should be thick as syrup. Its possible they thin it down with distilled water or grain alcohol. Just my $0.02.

OP - sounds like there may be an issue with your equipment. 100% VG, even when thinned considerably with something like distilled water, should produce a LOT of vapor. Have you tried changing out the coil in your ProTank? I'd give that a shot. Sounds, maybe, like your coil may not be getting hot enough...

I find that a mix of VG and PG when in conjunction with a standard nic level (as of personal preference) gives the best experience other then the base ratio's the flavorings need to be good and they need to be really concentrated to get the prefect taste. That is why I usually mix my own but I will occasionally purchase pre-made juice to see what other people are making.

my equipment is good ive tried other juices and they work fine. they say its 100vg and ive contacted the manufacturer. is it normal to have to go as high as 5.5v on a 2.2ohm coil to get good vapor? all my other juices are good at the 3.7-4.3 range. and the local ones seem to cracke more than the others

I'd contact the store you got the liquid from. It sounds like something is strange with it. PG should be watery, VG should be syrupy. I've had setups that dont work well with 100% VG mixes, because they're essentially as thick as honey.
