Default Is anyone concerned?

That all if not part of the juice we buy is manufactured in China? I went to a party last night and a few people asked me this question, which made me begin to wonder. None of the smokers at the party wanted to try my e-cigarette, they were all concerned about how it is manufactured and how clean the facilities were. I cannot find a manufacture in the USA that does not use at least one product from China. Does this concern anyone or are my friends making me paranoid? At least here in the USA things are regulated, ok maybe not the best system but I am sure much much better than China. We have no idea what these manufacturing plants look like, if they are sanitary, etc.

Any thoughts on this?

They have executed people in China for creating, selling and exporting tainted food.

Seems pretty important to the Chinese government to implement such sever penalties.

I can't say the same for any other country.

I'm not concerned and I have an awful lot to thank the Chinese for. Without their wonderful invention, I would still be smoking.

There are many juice suppliers who use American made ingredients.

The only other things to worry about are the atomizers and carts. You can replace the stuffing in the carts yourself using known good materials. That leaves the atomizer.

I've read threads in the mod form about rebuilding atomizers. Perhaps there would be a market for atomizers rebuilt with known safe materials. The big concern there is the wick material.

That's one of the reasons I'm glad I decided to go with vapor4life. Leaford is in China as we speak at the factories involved in making the products. Hardware and juice. This is an extended trip - 3 months I think. He is going over quality control and improving the products. These guys use this stuff themselves and want the best for them and for all of us. They want to make sure that we have the best quality, best performance and the safest products to use so everybody keeps on smilin.

Us Americans buy so many things from China (and other foreign countries), I'm not sure how this is any different.

I bet those same people don't understand how many imported things they use, buy, and eat in a day (especially processed foods).

I used to work with a guy that had worked at a McDonald's processing plant. After some of the things he told me, I will never worry about what is in a Chinese product.

Boge (Dekang) has independent lab analysis of their juice (see here). Place of manufacture is less important than these kind of proofs.

Failing that, I'll admit that with the smaller "cottage industry" juice makers in America, I do rely on trust and reputation.

Though valid, most all concerns seem to be minor when compared to combusted tobacco cigarettes.

As the industry grows, we will see all concerns being addressed.

That being said, and regardless of e-cigs, IMO we in who are in America should buy American whenever possible until our economy improves. I've seen it referred to as American Dollar Recycling. But... hey thats just my opinion.
