Clove Ejuice in General E-Smoking Discussion; I'm glad someone got it posted. Maybe doing a lighter tobacco liquid as the "100 parts" of leaf tobacco......

I'd like to see someone live up to that list of ingredients--I'm fresh out of dried nangka fruit, carried my plum casings out with last week's trash, and lord knows what pisang ambon and pruimen might be! Also don't know what is the difference between the casing flavor and top flavor...hmmmm. The list doesn't include what they state is approximately 40% ground clove (buds?). Guess they aren't too worried about anyone stealing their recipe and running with it, huh?

clove cigarettes are very popular to smoke in indonesia, and here (till they were banned) and it was the only thing i smoked (till they were banned.), so now i need to find an alternative for that delicious flavor. but i think it is wrong that they were banned.

Well I still have a pack and a half left. I bought more before the ban. I smoke them exclusively (half pack a day which beat a pack of menthols) I hate the flavor of tobacco. Imagine how excited I was that I read I could get throat hit, smoke and nicotine from electronics??? I ordered a Janty Ego and 4 flavors from Tasty Vapor. None of which was clove. I smoke clove t hide the tobacco flavor I hate. I bet I will want just a clovish flavor later though. So watching this thread.
Wish me luck my Janty gets here by Wed as I run out of cloves after that. LOL. It is not gonna be pretty. And yes I did order Sun and get 2 day shipping.

My clove solution...
Posted this in the DIY forum, but might be helpful here, so I'll repost it.
--------------------------
Been sampling e-juices & ended up with some stuff I'll never use straight. So, I've started spiking leftovers with clove. Haven't done any bottle mixing yet, but for a cartridge, I just put in a normal amount of base liquid & add 1 drop clove essential oil. (It's very strong-Do NOT overdo it! In fact I had to get a spare atomizer to use just for clove. Hard to test new flavors after clove - it stays around forever. However, it's a good way to keep icky flavors from going to waste. The clove will kill the taste of most anything you dislike, but it should also mix well with other flavors if you blend to where it's not overwhelming. Adding a drop to your favorite tobacco flavor might end up being pretty clove-cigarette-like).
Make sure you read up on essential oils & safety first!!! It's a somewhat complex subject. Many things labeled "essential oil" aren't. You'll end up smoking all sorts of petroleum-based nastiness. Two brands I trust as 100% essential oil are Aroma Vera & Aura Cacia. Also clove oil is pretty cheap for an essential oil-around $5-10 probably. I can even get it at some of my local grocery stores that have a good health food & cosmetics area.
Note: I'm by no means a professional on this stuff - my interest in essential oils is for making perfumes, incense, & such. I've only incidentally picked up a bit of info on medicinal use & chemical properties, etc. So please do your research! However, I think this should be safe. I use clove oil on toothaches all the time & my dentist says that's fine - In fact, something he used recently on a problem tooth was very clove-y. It's one of the main ingredients in stuff like Anbesol (may be listed as Eugenol). It's also how they make clove cigarettes. (Found that out the hard way after trying to smoke ground cloves in the spice cabinet as a teenager
). However, if you get undiluted clove oil on your skin, wash it off right away. It will burn you.
Essential oils aren't water-soluble, but you might be able to dilute with alcohol. I'm not real clear on the subject of alcohol in e-liquids yet, though, so I'm not certain if/how that would work. That's what I do with it for perfume-type usage, though. Don't know if it would be soluble in PG. Hrm.
Anyhow, just a thought.

cloves are still available, but are now sold as cigars instead of cigs. Atleast in PA they are.

American E-Liquid Djarmn Black Clove
Just got some "Djarmn Black Clove" flavor from American E-Liquids and I was disappointed to find that it has an overwhelming black licorice flavor. I'm not a fan of licorice, so this stuff is not for me!
I never smoked Djarum Black cigs before - my faves were the Djarum Lights, and when those were outlawed I switched to the Djarum Specials. I never noticed a licorice flavor in those, but maybe the Djarum Blacks do have that flavor as well as clove, so it might be an accurate re-creation of that brand.
In any case - if you don't like black licorice, stay away from this flavor!
ps: I also got the Butter Rum flavor, which I like better. I seem to detect a hint of the licorice in that one, too, but I'm hoping it's just some residual traces on the atomizer left over from the other liquid.

djarum blacks had no licorice flavor in them. i have a bottle of 24mg 'kretek' 20vg from tv that i got from a member here, it does taste remarkably like djarum or sampoerna. i don't see it on the tv site though ...

Yup - Apparently only "cigarettes" were affected by the ban, but not cigars, so they replaced the paper wrappers with brown tobacco leaves and can still sell those.
