I got my favorite Tobacco, but also tried the Coffee and the Cheesecake. First, the 24mg gives a pretty nice throat hit (in a GG Nano 3.7v device) In fact, the 24mg is a little strong for me, so I like to cut it with lower nic juice.

I love the coffee, of course...it's one of my favorite flavors. Nice "black coffee" flavor. This morning I mixed it with just a little (not too much!) vanilla and that added a "cream" flavor. Love it!

The Cheesecake flavor is interesting. There's definitely a "creamcheese" flavor there, but not much of a "tangy-ness". Unfortunately, I don't have any fruit flavors but I'm thinking just a touch Strawberry or Cherry would be great! I normally don't like fruit vapes, but I'm going to pick up some strawberry to mix it with...I think the Cheesecake will work nicely to cut the sweet taste of fruit that I normally don't like and make it a creamier vape in a way that is different in character from just adding Vanilla.

The only thing slow about getting liquids from WYS is the length of time it takes me to place an order. Once I get that part out of the way, and as always, the goods are across the country and sitting in my mailbox within two days. This time the box arrived on Saturday. I was nervous about the additions to our strategic reserve being laid over for the weekend in a boiling hot trailer or air freight container but Matt and USPS came through just fine.

I also got all the new flavors to try. My original intent, due to eager anticipation, was to review the Coffee right up front but I'm exercising restraint. I'll step up to Cheesecake for the first review.

As Moonlight indicates, Cheesecake is a rather interesting flavor. Not being a hound for desserts, I'm no expert on cheesecake but to the best of my recollection, this liquid is a pretty close match to the real thing. There is, however, a hint of "wrong" that's hard to quantify. It's not associated with the basic flavor and it's far from a deal-breaker. It's just a slightly off-taste that comes into play most noticeably for me when exhaled through the nose.

Anyone who wants dessert in a zero-calorie form should have a look at Cheesecake. It's not an exceptionally potent flavor and it's not overly sweet. A touch of Peach would add some power and interest and ratchet up the sweetness just a tad. I expect this to improve it as a dessert vapor.

Initiation

I've been wanting a good coffee liquid. Even though the "coffee" in my stash came from one of the more popular and highly recommended ECF vendors, it isn't fit to use in my mixes. It tastes like coffee but coffee of a particular type. The type where you may toss a shot glass of yesterday's leftovers in a big ol' mug and top it up with pure artificial sweetener or sugar water so stiff you can stand a spoon in it. It's awful. It's so sweet it curls my teeth and hurts my hair.

It was very good news the weekend before last when Matt announced his new flavors, one of them being coffee. I was drooling in anticipation. What I said in my review of Cheesecake wasn't entirely true. I did not exercise restraint. I didn't save the coffee for last. Truth be told, I started vaping it as soon as I unpacked the box, pulled a sample and got everything stowed away in fridge. It didn't go well. I was surprised and more than a little disappointed. It lacked the "specialness" I was expecting. The flavor seemed to be all washed out. Weak and powerless. Admittedly, I set the bar pretty high for this one but it just didn't do it for me. After 2 ml and 24 hours, I put it down and walked away feeling grateful I only ordered a 30 ml taster. Mr Coffee let me down.

Analysis

So what happened? Not sure. It may have been the brand new atomizer. They don't work all that well for me. It also may have been the fact my pet perennial habañero pepper plant (her name is Magma) had just started producing like gangbusters and I was eating those peppers like jellybeans. She quit producing in January so I was making up for lost time. Hmmm, could a massive overdose of the hottest hybrid peppers on the planet possibly affect my sense of taste? Nah, I think I was just in a bad mood because I terribly missed my wife who was gone to a girls weekend at the beach. I'm simply not a happy man when I can't look at her face every day. I was home alone with the dogs and the cat and the raccoon and the horse. That, in itself, is not bad at all but the satellite went out so I couldn't even watch the Indycar race on Saturday night. All in all, I was generally honked off and not even the highly anticipated arrival could help.

Revisitation

Regardless, my wife returned home Sunday afternoon, my atomizer got broke in after a few days and I slacked off on the fruits of Magma to settle in at a rate of about three units a day. Wednesday morning I went back to the Coffee and have been stuck like glue ever since. Speaking of Wednesday morning and remembering another slow start, I'll tell you about Coffee's weak point right up front. Coffee and coffee do not work well together. You simply cannot appreciate the taste of the Coffee when drinking the coffee.

Beyond that clash of the titans in the mouths of mortals, there are no problems. The Coffee e-liquid does taste like coffee. Nice, rich, unsweetened black coffee. Nothing more, nothing less. No weird taste, no weird aftertaste, nothing bad at all. Just coffee, plain and simple. The gods have smiled on those of us who want a great tasting coffee liquid with not even the slightest trace of the weird sweetness that seems to be endemic in all the lesser liquids of non-WYS origin.

Of course, it doesn't have the complexity found in the finest coffee beans, but hey, what do you want? A juice this good can be as simple as dirt and suit me just fine. You can make your own level of complexity by mixing with Caramel, Chocolate, Tobacco or Vanilla. Ideally, mix with all to produce what I expect to be a monster of a taste. Which is exactly what I was speculating about in an earlier post. Move over Macanudo.

Ah yes, mixing. This brings me back to another thing that spooked the bejeezus out of me when I first tasted the Coffee last Saturday. I was afraid it wouldn't have the power to hang with my other blending favorites. I was afraid it would simply disappear. After spending more time with it, I reckon maybe that was endorphin-fueled paranoia. (heheh, that pesky pepper buzz again). After the extended revisit, I'm thinking coffee has sufficient strength to hold it's own and provide a subtle touch of flavor in as little as 10% concentration. But that's for another day to decide. The problem now is: before I'll ever know, I have to stop using this stuff straight. The problem is I can't put it down. I'm afraid I'm becoming a Coffee junkie. Sweet addiction. First it's being hopelessly hooked on hot peppers since I was a kid and now it's WYS Coffee. Well, I suppose it could be worse. Life is good.

I just received a few flavors from WYS yesterday. So far I have tried Cuban Cigar and Peach (haven't opened the Tobacco yet). The peach is very tasty, and reminds me of a peach flavored cocktail, like a fuzzy navel or something. My wife and a friend tried it and think it's very good also, so it's not just me(!). The Cuban Cigar is very interesting. It's very very different than the other "tobacco flavored" juices I have tried (which isn't that many, maybe 3 or 4). To me it has a "dry" flavor/feel to it, if that makes sense, with a noticable lack of sweetness (which I think is a good thing)... it's closest to "smoke" out of any I have. I like it a lot and will probably get more.

I ordered a small stock of WYS as well...30 ml each of cuban cigar, tobacco, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. At first none of them really impressed me as a "I have to have that" flavor, but my first test was quick and dirty. Loaded all the flavors in new carts and tested each one for about 10 minutes each just to get a quick idea what I had.

After spending more time with a few of the flavors here's my take on them...

Cuban cigar will be a mainstay in my collection for as long as it is offered. It does have a "dry" flavor at first but after a day of vaping it's not noticable to me any more. It gives kind of a strong tobacco flavor with a subtle sweetness. A very distinct flavor that I haven't had before and my wife won't vape it because she likes it too much and can't put it down. Having my 201 glued to my hand and face doesn't bother me.

Tobacco: Much more like the other tobacco flavors you get from other suppliers in the sense that it didn't leave me with the "I gotta have this" taste like the cuban did. It also has somewhat of a dry taste and a milder tobacco flavor. When I say "dry taste" I don't mean it leaves you with cotton mouth....it's a dry taste, not dry mouth. Sorry I can't explain it better. It is a good stand alone flavor for sure and is an excellent base to mix other flavors with, such as coffee, vanilla and chocolate...and I'm sure others too but haven't tried anything else. Tobacco will also be a mainstay in my collection for this purpose, and it's a great flavor to "clean" out your tastebuds. I tend to get used to a particular flavor and it loses it's taste after a couple days, so a 1/2 day on something else "re-sets" my taste buds.

The coffee, chocolate and vanilla...I haven't really spent enough time with them as stand alone flavors to give a decent description, but they are all great when mixed with each other and tobacco as well. I probably won't spend much time with the chocolate or vanilla by themselves because those 2 flavors alone just don't interest me too much...too sweet for my liking...from any supplier not just WYS. I did spend a short amount of time with the coffee by itself and it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. Kind of a "black coffee" taste...but keep in mind I haven't really spent enough time with it to give a completely accurate account of it.

I'll update as I have time to spend a little mire time with the coffee, chocolate and vanilla...but it probably won't be until I start running out of Cuban Cigar.

I can't say enough about the packaging and shipping. Each bottle came with a 3ml travel bottle and each bottle was bubble wrapped. Pele could have kicked the package from AZ to NC and it wouldn't have hurt the contents. WYS gets a big thumbs up from me on customer service and product quality.

Cuban Cigar is my favorite WYS flavor. Unfortunately, I virtually put it out of my mind quite some time ago. I hadn't done any CC for close to two months. I was preoccupied with all the other reviews and weighing the values of combining my other favorites into different blends.

I recently became determined to go back to my favorite and stick with it for a while. Not a big deal since I have enough Cuban Cigar to puff my brains out for months and hardly make a dent. So it began. Nothing but Cuban Cigar and it was good. So how long did it last? All the way til last night when I fell off the wagon. I mixed 2 ml of Cuban Cigar with ¾ ml Chocolate and about a third of a milliliter of Vanilla.

Call me a Cuban Cigar dropout if you will but dang, this sure makes a tasty vapor. The butter comes through with the taste of cocoa and the slight undertone of that lovely Vanilla. It's the taste of a fine tobacco cigar.

I just got my new order in from WYS this morning: Coffee, Cuban Cigar, and Caramel.

Cuban cigar, surprisingly, is quickly turning out to be my new favorite. I didn't think I really wanted a tobacco flavor of any kind for my e-cigs, as I really didn't enjoy the way real cigarettes tasted to begin with. Cuban cigar, though, tastes like I think I always wished real tobacco would taste. It's more complicated than just tobacco, there's a rich sweetness to it that I find myself craving after only a few hours with the stuff. It also feels very "heavy" in my mouth and throat -- it feels much more like I remember tobacco smoke than other liquids I've tried. I really think this might be the magic liquid that actually stands up to a night out at the bar.

Coffee is also delicious, but I haven't been using it nearly as much as the Cigar flavor. I do love that there's no sweetness to it, I've been looking for that for a while now.

The caramel is...weird. I still like it, but I really don't get "caramel" from the taste. It's more fruity than I expected somehow. It's still interesting, and it doesn't taste bad at all, but my quest for the perfect caramel flavor will continue I think.

Take all this for what it's worth. My taste buds are no where on par with others in this forum. But WetYourStick liquids remain my favorite, and haven't let me down yet with a single flavor. Thanks Matt.

You should get a progression of tastes out of the Caramel as you go though a session. To get a better idea of how I perceive it, put a drop of the liquid on your hand and sniff. You get the initial fruitiness. As it dries, the aroma progresses through stages to caramel.

This is what I get out of the liquid when I puff it. It does start out fruity in the beginning but moves to caramel with coconut and finishes at pure caramel. Try vaping your way through a cartridge as if you're smoking a big cigar. Spend some time with it and hopefully you'll experience the progression. If you just take a few puffs and lay it down for a while, I'm thinking you'll probably not get too far past the initial tangerine-ey flavor.
