The best way to make the holes in the Syringe plunger tips I've found...take an old carto, grind the tip on a wheel or with a dremel to about 45 degrees so you sharpen the edge, place the tip on an old magazine and just hammer the sharpened carto firmly until it punches through. Clean cut that fit's perfectly.

Thanks, WI, I'll check out the Fusions at Ikenvape.

    Ceegary,

My intention was to use an old carto as a punch for the plunger tips, but I hadn't thought of sharpening the edges. Good idea.

I'm also thinking of using a 306 carto for the hole punch, since the diameter is slightly smaller than a 510. Might make for a nice snug fit on a 510 LR Boge 2.0 ohm or 510 XL Resurrector 1.7 ohm.

I don't want to speak too soon, but my tanks seem to be "settling in" yesterday and today. I'm getting fewer episodes of leaking. Only one or two times among all four filled tanks. I don't know why this is happening, but I'll take it happily.

I did order 14 of the Ideal-brand 20ml veterinary Leur-slip syringes yesterday from an equine supplies site (that specific brand of syringes has rubber seals that are twice as thick and much heavier-duty than most). What the heck, the syringes were only 60¢ each shipped and should be a snap to make into tanks.

Heaven knows why I persist in this tank venture. I didn't really mind the need for frequent topping up of cartos. I was quite happy with Smok Tech mega-XL clear dual-coils, and I like the 1.7 ohm XL Resurrectors even more. But, you know, the quest for the Holy Grail of vaping delivery systems is never-ending. Heck, I now own 35 PVs/mods, among them 12 variable-voltage boxes, 4 eGo and 3 E-power units, 4 Hello 016 batts, 2 Phidias feeders, and a bunch of other tube and box mods (in 3.7, 5, and 6-volt versions), plus about 250 atties and cartos of all types. All I can say in my defense is that at least I don't play golf or collect sports cars, LOL, and all 7 of my Madvapes VV boxes cost less than a single Darwin or ProVari (not that I'm down on pricier mods---lots of folks understandably love those high-tech units, but I've not personally felt the need to own any of them).

Overall, I'm pleased to report that my vaping hobby/obsession provides me with much more satisfaction than aggravation. That's been true since I started vaping a year ago, and---as long as it remains true---I'm mostly a happy camper.

I also consider the many friends I've made on ECF (and especially here on the RY4 thread) as a significant part of the real joy of vaping.
Hoping the tanks continue to get better with time and you find the solution to your problem. I've also seen all the hype that surrounds these tanks. I personally haven't used any of those tanks except for the ego. But, I'm not sure if there are any threads that specifically discuss this topic but it won't hurt to check one of those out and see if you can get some tips to help you out.

    3 REO mini's * 2 REO 18490's * REO Grand * 7 Phiniac Tanks + 2 Provari V2's * VV Army Tank V2 and way too many other things to list.

Been using the arry tank for quite some time now, allows the r5 ce2 to wick much better. Getting good vapor/flavor from an 80pg/20vg mix with 3.7 to 4.2 volts on 2.4-2.6 ohm. Not the most throat hit but I enjoy the warm vape.

Also, I ordered some RY4 from Avid Vaper, has a slight flavor of dekang but not a strong flavor. Not too impressed.

Yeah, that would work, although I've never had a leak out of the seals, only from the bottom of the carto and generally only upon filling with a new one. A tight seal is good to stop the cartos from moving up or down in the tank. I do enjoy them and have found better flavor than using the same carto straight up.

I have a 30ml bottle of RY4 from BWB that I can't vape. I bought it after reading all the hype but its not for me. I got it in early Aug and have been letting it steep like I was told. I try a couple drops every so often but I don't like it. Is something wrong with me? I am not saying anything bad about Don, I love his cola and cappucino. I will give it another month or so and then sell it on ECF if I still don't like it. I would hate for this "masterpiece" to go to waste.

It took almost two months before I started liking BWB's RY4. I thought it was me, but it is now one of my faves. I don't understand how a juice needs two months to get vapable.

But on the bright side, steeped BWB's RY4 is worth more than you paid. Or you can trade for almost anything you want.

Don't worry. You're not alone. I'm another person for whom BWB RY4 has lost a lot of its former luster. (I presume that I've changed, not the juice.) If I were ranking the Big RY4 List based purely on personal preference, BWB RY4 would fall like a stone to about #35. It remains highly-ranked because I know darned well that it's wildly popular among a great many ECF members.

As thehangdude says, you've made an investment---maybe not as profitable as buying gold or silver bullion---but still a savvy move. In another month, if BWB RY4 is still not thrilling you, you can put it up on the classifieds and sell it in a heartbeat for at least what you paid for it, and probably more.

With 42 RY4s on the Big List now, you have lots of other choices. I'd suggest ignoring both the rankings and my reviews (which are getting more and more biased as I give in to my own personal preferences). Instead, check out the Group Categories. You'll almost certainly be able to find an RY4 that suits your palate.

The cedar Undertone of the BWB RY4 really slammed me at first. While I appreciated the flavor, I hardly ever vaped it. Now that it is two months old, the cedar has mellowed and blended, and the flavor is much more enjoyable. In fact, i was vaping it a lot this week while I was waiting for another order to come in. So, put it away for a solid two months. If you still don't like it, you'll be able to sell or trade it.....easily.
