Are you sure you ordered the LF4?

I ask because that one does not come in 5ml bottles, only 10ml. And last I checked they only had 0 nic and 12 mg left.

Whoa...GREAT offering of reviews of various RY4s!

I have a bottle of PG, 18mg/ml LF4. It's not my favorite. Kind of an overbearing, sickly sweet nutty taste to me. I really enjoy most of the Liberty Flights flavors I've tried (Highway, in particular), but this one is not really my cup of tea.

I've also tried both madvapes DK RY4 and DK RY4 straight from China. I think they taste very similar. There was a long period of time between the two, though, so I can't be sure.

Thanks for the great list of Ruyans!

GOTVAPES VISION DEUX Giant Clear Cartomizer, C.C.V. Cartos

    Hiryu,

Yes, you're right. I did order 5ml bottles of Liberty-Flights' standard RY-series, but, as you say, the custom line is sold only in 10ml bottles. So, I ordered a 10ml bottle of LF4 in 4mg nic strength---which was the only nic choice they had; even the 0 nic was sold out.

I figure I can pour half of that 10mls into another bottle and add 15-or-so drops of 60mg/ml unflavored liquid nic to get a high enough nic concentration to satisfy my throat hit cravings (well, maybe not satisfy, but at least mollify). Flavor will no doubt be diluted a little, but I'll still have the other unaltered 5mls to compare for flavor in the review.

I think I'm going to have to make a slight retraction on a previous review, namely the: RY4 from ENjuice.

My previous evaluation of this juice was that it was not a typical RY4 as it was too maple syrup like and so was a 'hybrid dessert variant'. I've since ordered a separate bottle, this time from the value vape range (not their expensive premium range which I used previously) and it's actually a rather nice Ry4 indeed.

It is Incredibly sweet, overriding taste is certainly caramel with a spun sugar like taste too it, pushing it firmly into the dessert vape only category. The liquid itself is a pale gold colour, it's thin and I believe 100% PG. There is a tobacco hint to the juice, though only coming later and it's very nearly swamped entirely by that sugary caramel rush on the first inhale. The taste lingers in the mouth, much longer then on other juices I've tried. It's also suprisngly not very dry, in fact unlike almost all other juices I've tried I didn't feel I needed a swig of water after a long vape session, my mouth was still quite wet after prolonged vaping on this juice. There is an almost buttery like quality to this juice also, possibly in the vanilla which is there on the exhale, it's also possibly the texture which adds to the lack of dryness one usually expects from vaping over a long period. That butter is usually more common in an RY3 variant, but it's not unpleasant here in this Ry4, instead I find it gives the juice extra body and adds weight to an otherwise light and sutble vanilla exhale.

My confusion before might well have been me vaping maple waffles from ENjuice in close proximity, both juices came at the same time and I alternated between the two throughout the week. Whilst I rate maple waffles premium from ENjuice one of the best e-liquids money can buy, im forced to elevate the position of ENjuices RY4 too. It's a very, very sweet goey caramel juice, but it's so full of flavour it actually becomes quite addictive!

Pure indulgent dessert RY4 then, absolutely perfect for those looking for a caramel, sugar heavy mix.

I have also got 30mls of ENjuices premium Ry4 to try too, this time it's what they refer to as 'satin smooth' meaning it's 80 VG / 20 PG. It's too thick on my REO mini really, so I shall have to try this on my E-power and arry tank. I wonder if the maple syrup flavour from before is in fact a staple of the premium range? Of course, stay tuned to this thread to find out!

Thanks to Bill and Z for the wealth of info here. I've begun settling on my daily-vape, and I'm convinced that it's destined to be someone's RY4. This thread has done several things for me in this regard.

First, it's been a good sanity-check on FSUSA's blend. I wasn't really bowled-over by it, and now I know that I wasn't alone. Also, the "signature taste" of FSUSA was escaping me until just a couple pages ago. +1 for the identification of Cedar there.

Also, watching the rankings of the various juices move around, I've been watching with some interest as Dekang made its way up the "leaderboard". I got a 5ml sampler from Cignot (which has been identified here as Boge/Dekang) a month or so ago, but it tasted like Chemical Burn™ in 2 or 3 different atties, so I simply let it float in my box-o-samplers. Turns out, all it needed was steeping for a few weeks. I was emboldened by the discussion here to try again, on a fresh atty, and wow. Just. Wow. It's like a whole different juice (in a very good way), and will probably give my current fav a run for it's money.

My daily go-to for RY4 (right now) is Drew's Nhale-Xhale version of RY4, and I absolutely love it. The caramel/vanilla is clear and strong with it, although the tobacco is a little understated with it, IMO.

Maybe it's just me, but the Dekang seems a little more balanced here. Does anyone agree/care?

Anyway, thanks again for the awesome thread. Now I don't have to work as hard to figure out which RY4's to try next.. Win!

I think you'll find plenty of agreement here rusty with regards to the Dekang. If you want balance, a slight janty esque sourness and a wonderful all day vape then Dekang is hard to beat. In fact both Bill and myself would easily have Dekang Ry4 in our respective top 10's somewhere. For me it's slightly eclipsed by the admittedly more sutble, but slightly smoother janty Elixir. But I'd consider Dekang Ry4 my No:2 with little hesistantion. You're right too, to steep it, i left mine a week and only then did it truly shine and loose a slightly chemical taste. Steeping also helped bring out the sweetness of the Dekang mix I had, a sweetness which on first vape wasn't present for me.

    Zombite,

    Sterling review, as always.

Since you're amassing a fair number of reviews for RY4s and RY4 variants available in the UK, I wondered if you might consider taking on the task of creating a Category Groups listing for "World" RY4s that you've tried (from the UK, Europe, China, Romania, wherever). If you're willing to do this, you needn't use my categories---since it would be your list, any categories you liked would be fine.

I wouldn't ask you to do an accompanying Rankings List, for two obvious reasons: 1. rankings are stupid to begin with, and 2. doing them is a royal pain-in-the-you-know-what. One fool on this thread presuming to rank RY4s is probably more than enough, although if you wished to create your own "World RY4" rankings, I doubt that anyone would complain, least of all me.

If a Category Groups List feels like more responsibility than you want to take on, I understand completely.

For everyone else who follows the thread: If you've tried an RY4 that's not on the existing Rankings/Categories List (meaning that I haven't tried or reviewed it), I'd be happy to include it in the Category Groups, since that's one core function of the thread---to provide a Buyer's Guide that helps people choose which RY4s they want to purchase. Just PM me with the vendor and the name of the juice, along with your chosen categories for that particular RY4 or variant, and I'll add it to each subsequent revision.
