Default JC Red Oak Domestic Review

So I ordered the Domestic tobacco flavor for the new JC Red Oak Juice line. Unfortunately I was expecting maybe a little of what I thought made the Original good and the Tennessee Cured awesome...no joy. Regardless...The price was not bad...they had a sale for 15% off I believe, so I figured why not.

Vapor - 8 - The vapor production on the new Red Oak line, is a heck of alot better. I'm not gonna say it's amazing...but comparatively it's alot better then the pg lineup. But decent clouds of vapor.

TH - 5 - Again for me...not so good. But that's not to say it's not there. On a 8 sec. drag on a 3.7v it's O.K. but on a 7 sec drag on a 5v...well it's alot better. But unfortunetly JC's never had a TH for me...

Taste - 9 - For what it's worth, it's exactly what it say's it is...tobacco. Plain and simple. But with the TC smell I got, I thought it's gonna be amazing...but no nutty flavor like original...and no caramel like Tennessee Cured. Just plain ol' tobacco. But for what it say's it's supposed to be...

Overall - 7.5 - I was expecting greatness...but for me, it wasn't worth it. But if your looking for nice tasting tobacco with very little TH and good vapor...well this is it.

I was a little disappointed, but it comes with ordering new things I guess...oh well. But if you can get TH of lite juices then this is for you...Halo and TW are the only things that really give me a wow TH.

I was going to order some, and even delayed ordering my usual shipment of stuff to see what the new family of flavors would be. Unfortunately, they only go up to 18mg, and I vape 24mg, so I passed on ordering. Too bad too, because I wanted to try he island juice. Oh well, I just stick with my Arctic menthol. I decided I'm done flavor swapping.

I tried the Red Oak and the Tenn cured. This would be the third order for me for the Tenn cured and this recent order was nothing like that of past orders. I have always ordered the Reduced PG and loved it, but this time I understand now that it isn't available.

I was informed "At this time we have discontinued our Reduced PG recipe to coincide with the launch of Red Oak, a PG-Free Smoke Juice."

But I tell you, this Red Oak 'with no pg' certainly had similarities of a PG juice. I got that feeling of the burning throat and heartburn feeling while vaping it.
Maybe it doesn't have PG, but I can't put my finger on why it has that effect on me.

It was a very dark juice and in 18mg strength. I tried reducing a sample of it with 50/50 and it seemed to help some but I just don't think I could have vaped it constantly. I ended up returning it for a refund.

The Tenn cured was much darker than the little bit I had left from an older batch from back in Nov. and the taste was similar in nature to the Red Oak.

Maybe it's just me. I will be interested in what other think because up until now I have loved their products.

I like both Domestic and W. Frost the rest I don't really care for very much.

On their own they are pretty good but I think they will shine when I'm using them as mixers to take the sweetness out of my dekang tobacco flavors.

    Default Not impressed

I'm Tennessee Cured fan as nothing else compares to it in my opinion. I can't handle the PG though. I was excited about the line of non-PG products. I ordered Domestic and Mercado. I don't like either one. I'm now mixing the Domestic with TC to make it better but it's just not the same. They previously had TC in VG form. I don't understand why they couldn't repeat that recipe in the new Red Oak line. The Mercado was just plain awful.

like I said it's got a very tobacco flavor...but nothing like the TC that I love so...but I ordered some caramel and vanilla flavor extracts(oils) from various companies and I'm hoping to make a TC type flavor with the 78ml of various tobacco flavors that just didn't appease my tastebuds...including domestic...so we shall see how that goes...but if you like TOBACCO flavor and that's about it then this is the way to go. But don't confuse it for Tennessee cured...nothing alike.

I have been vaping a few different kinds of juice from different places all said to be 24mg.
Most have lost the flavor and kick. I got my order from Johnson Creek today. Mercado, Valencia and Domestic all 18mg. I must say that I like all three, very good flavor and vape. Even at only 18mg it has me purring like a kitten. I will order from them again.

Was lucky enough to try some yesterday from a co-worker who had ordered a bottle but didn't like it. Although it really wasn't as nasty as she said it was, It did not taste at all like tobacco to me. In fact, if they had labelled it "Almond Biscotti" it would have nailed the flavor perfectly. Very 'bakery' type of flavor that would go perfectly with a cup of coffee. But in no way did the flavor come even close to any tobacco flavor I have tried to date. It wasn't bad at all like the JC original or Tenn. cured, and I really didn't detect any of those underlying flavors in it.

I loved the old Tennessee Cured, but now I have a hard time parting with 20 bucks for 30ml when I can spend that for 50ml of RY4 with free shipping.
