Also a Satisfied Customer
The Vapor 1000 is my first purchase. I bought it after so reading about them in the reviews forum and have had it for almost two weeks.
So, I am not an expert but I am pleased with my purchase.
One of my atomizers must have had a slight flaw which developed only after using for 6 days. It worked fine then just got progressively worse until I could see the juice and vapor coming out the top. The battery would still light up but no vap.
I emailed them that evening about the atomizer and my concerns that the juice had been pulled up into the battery, they replied and shipped out a replacement atomizer and battery the very next day. (a pink one this time)
Took two days to get here by mail. They included a return envelope for me to return the defective parts (I have to pay for the postage $1.65) but they also included a dark glass bottle of High Melon juice for my trouble. The only trouble I had was making sure my only battery stayed charged. I am currently vaping away with both as I write this.
I also emailed them previously before purchasing and they were always quick to reply and answered all my questions. They have excellent customer service skills.

If you buy in bulk from china, you could replace them easily and for cheap, atomizers only cost 2 bucks to make then a buck or so to move and store. The actual cost of them is like 4-5 bucks or less in bulk.
you forget the important bit.. handling costs.. western handling costs not chinese ones..
someone has to answer customer complains and send out the new parts.. and check the old are really f-cked..
the chinese get away with this life time stuff cos they know most folks wont bother waiting for the long long turn around for a cheap item..
a western dude will simply go bankrupt... he he he
the ruyan five year concept was a cart lock in.. at 22.000 dollars a gallon for their liquid in little plastic tubs called catridges a fifty year warranrt would be feasible..
but if folks want to go for this kind of stuff its up to them..
trog
ps... time to panic joe.. i just got the server is too busy try again later message.. whoops...

Tex, Marian just announced on the forum a few weeks ago that she had formed a company and was selling the e-cigs. I don't think many of us knew about the Vapor cig before that. However, we did know Marian, as she was one of the early members of the forum. I ordered a Vapor 1000 from her and love it.

Marian has a phone number where you can call and talk directly to her or one of her assistants. I'm sure they would be more than happy to give you their address. Their customer service is simply outstanding.

Vapor 1000 e-cig (vaporcig.com) vs Rio e-cig (vapornine.com)
I received my Vapor 1000 from vaporcig.com. It is an 801 type. No problem with vaping with it, good throat hit. The softer and slower a drag you take the better the throat hit.
But, comparatively, I have the Rio (also an 801 type) from vapornine.com and find no difference between the two, at least for now. I have no idea if the internal workings are different, but the Vapor 1000 and Rio have interchangeable parts. Vaping with either one is absolutely the same - slow and soft drags gets the same results.
VaporCig.com sells the Vapor 1000 starter kit on sale for $99.95, and it appears that the regular price will be $199.95. VaporNine.com sells the Rio starter kit for $69.95. Both come with 2 complete units, charger with cord, and some cartridges. A bonus with the Vapor 1000 purchase was a bottle of e-liquid, plus a free bottle if you mention this forum.
Both have fantastic customer service. I received a response email from both within a few hours of emailing them. Both have fast shipping times.
The bottom line is I really really like both of them. So only time will tell if the huge difference in purchase price between the two will be worth it to buy another Vapor 1000 versus buying another Rio. Depends on how long each one lasts. Vapor 1000 has a lifetime warranty on the atomizer with a 6 month warranty on the battery. Rio has a 14 day return and guaranteed not to be DOA (dead on arrival).
What I found interesting was that the user manual that came with the Vapor 1000 is - page for page - the exact same user manual that came with the Rio, including the illustrations. A few wording changes here and there and a different cover, but essentially the same user manual with the same titles, text, and pictures. I thought the Vapor 1000 was a brand new product developed by a brand new company, so how is it the user manual would be the same as the user manual from a product that been around for awhile? Hmmm?
The e-liquid from vaporcig.com is called Nic Kick. I've tried the different flavors - cherry, coffee, vanilla - and am disappointed so far because I can't tell there is any flavoring at all. So not sure what's up with that. It is $5 more ($14.95) for a 15ml bottle than other vendors ($9.95), so I don't think it's worth that extra $5 for a 15ml bottle, even if it is in amber glass bottles. Johnson Creek sells e-liquid in amber glass bottles for the same as other vendors, so not sure why there would be an extra $5 for vaporcig.com's e-liquid.
Anyway, for what it's worth, I like them both, much more so than the DSE 901 I purchased a while back. Both the Vapor 1000 and the Rio produce a smooth ride with a very nice and rewarding vaping experience. The only difference I can tell at this time is the difference in cost.

Possibly because many folks have lots of other parts already and they void their warranty if you use their atomizer with other parts. The atomizer warranty is therefore predicated on continued purchase of their batteries.

I agree and was also disappointed.

One possible reason for the manual is that ALL of these E-Ciggs except for the SCREWDRIVER are made in China...Nothing personal against the Chinese or anything but they hack everything over there...almost all there websites descriptions are the same...All there flavors are hacked from each other..and all there manuals are very generic and hacked from each other...Mostly all thier parts are interchangeable on the similar models...however there are some subtle to drastic machining processes that make some work better...I think the lifetime atomizer is why you pay more for one, and its probably worth it, the way it sounds... The shipping alone costs more to China than atomizers...anyway happy vaping

10 Thoughts from a Newbie - In No Special Order
I just received my Vapor 1000 Wednesday night, so my experience is limited. Also, many thanks to all who took the time to write about this and other models. At least I was able to make an informed decision, be it right or wrong.
1. Great packaging, arrived on time (ordered Friday and was told it would arrive Wednesday). I got the blue one. Pink is not my style
and black wasn't an option for the starter kit
.
2. I have been struggling with the batteries. One seems to charge for the initial 5 hours and last a day or 2. The other is on the charger now for it's 3rd 5 hour cycle and wants to last an hour or 2 before it starts blinking and going dim. I have had some instances where the battery blinks at me 25 times for some reason. The LED is bright and it still works, so I'm not sure what this is.
3. I have no experience with throat hits and vapor quantity, but have learned both are better if I don't have a cartridge in. (Can someone explain this to me?) I have read a lot about cartridges and dripping on this site and, while it is great info, I have managed to confuse myself thoroughly.
4. After using the vaporizer for 1 day, I switched to the other (it comes with 2) and the 2nd one seemed to work better than the first. Being new, I am probably the reason for this, so I will clean, blow, etc. to see if I have clogged the 1st one up.
5. The flavor cartridge thing is great ( I got orange and cherry), but so far appears to be irrelevant. Both flavors taste the same (flavorless), so either I need to try flavors from somewhere else or lower my expectations.
6. I was a 1-1/2 a day smoker and am on my 2nd cartridge, so the cartridges are lasting longer than I thought they would.
7. I can't seem to keep the LED lit for one continuos drag, no matter how slow I go, but this is a goal for me and I will keep trying. It is easy to do without the cartridge in.
8. I have to learn to vape without looking at the LED on the end or my auto insurance is going to increase considerably
.
9. I underestimated the nicotine impact of my former cigs (Eclipse-no published nicotine info). I ordered the low content cartridges and, while I sure they will help me lower my addiction level, I am getting irritable from time to time (sorry honey).
10. I am committed to doing this and will not stop! If nothing else, it is a $70/week raise for me, if I stay away from the cigs.
Thanks for everyone's info on this site. It was, and will continue to be a great resource for me and others who come along.
