Received my Ruyan Titanium E-Cigar Today

I was going to post this in Reviews, but I couldn't start a topic there.

This is a review of my very first e-cigarette.

Okay... So I got it today. The Ruyan "Bling" Titanium E-Cigar with 50 cartridges. It was shipped on 061208 and arrived on 062108. It took 9 days for the 7-14 day free shipping from http://www.ruyanhealth.com. It was $64 with shipping.

Out of the box:
It came with 50 high nicotine cartridges and two zero nic cartridges each individually wrapped. Some of them seemed a little leaky. Stuck them in the fridge. Came with manual and box.

I wish I could have gotten a 3rd or 4th battery for it. They didn't carry them on their website when I ordered, then the day my package was shipped they got them in as a new item. I emailed them about this because in my order instructions I said that I wanted to add spare batteries if they had them. They ignored it.

Now for some reason http://www.ruyanhealth.com got rid off all of these types of e-cigars from their website. I emailed them about this and they said:

"We are trying our best to provide customer most cheap e-cigarette, however, we got the new quotation in which all Ruyan 2008 e-cigar raise price. and in the same time, USD DEVALUATION, if you need purchase again, please log in http://www.e-cigarette-china.com for purchase with your account on ruyanhealth.com."

I found a few other sites that sell them for about the same price so I'm not too upset.

The cigar seems pretty well made. It's a lot lighter than I thought it would be. It looks pretty good too except for all the kanji on it. Makes it look a little cheaper. I'm going to try to get the kanji translated to see what it says.

It came with a full cartridge already in it. It leaked a little bit but I wiped it down and it seems okay now.

I'm going to go to Batteries Plus to see if they have other batteries, and a better charger because this one seems kinda cheap.

The cartridges screw in. Is this common? I like it...

When I tried it after charging the batteries I took some videos. One battery seems to be weaker than the other one. When I tried the second battery I got much more vapor (than what is in the video). I'm going to let them both charge overnight and see if it's any better in the morning.

The taste is pretty good. At first it was hard not to cough... But after a few tries I got used to it. So far I like it... It's a little weird not blowing out any vapor though. I look at other people's videos and they blow out much more and their cigs produce much more. We'll see if it gets any better.

I could get used to this... Going to try it for a while and see if it works for me. So far so good...

I'll post an update after I give the batteries a good overnight charge, and give it a few days of usage.
So far I'll give the overall experience a B- or C+. Maybe lower because of the lack of vapor...

Nice videos. Is that what they mean by "embedding?"

Anyway on the e-igar, I like that the LED isn't trying to look like a cherry. And I like that the cartridge screws on; loose cartridges is becoming a pet peeve of mine. OTOH, that also means you HAVE to use their cartridges.

my ruyan cigar cartridges are also screw in-maybe its a ruyan thing...i think i read somewhere that the chinese characters when translated are more or less just saying how good it is to esmoke ruyan products--its like an advertisement..
as for buying ruyan cartridges....well,i just drip my cigar.

i think the ruyan cigar is the original or first e smoking device.. the others simply copy it.. the little micky mouse batteries are its weakness if it has one.. the e-cig carts and spare parts fit ruyan devices..

Yes the batteries that came with it are only 360 mAh... That is extremely weak. I checked Njoy's website and their batteries have the same rating though.

Both of the batteries that came with it seem fine now.

So after an evening and a morning of using it I can say that the taste has gotten much better. At first the taste made me a little sick. But I think that has something to do with what they put on the atomizer during shipping. I really like the taste now actually. The vapor is less harsh too. Still not too much vapor though. The vapor is okay when I don't inhale... but when I do inhale nothing comes out. I don't know if that's just the e-cigar or if it's not making enough vapor. I'm going to have to get used to not blowing anything out after a puff.

I tried putting 2 drops on the atomizer and it didn't produce any more vapor than with the cartridge. So I think it's working okay.

I'm going to puff on this for a while and when I get some spare cash I'll buy a pen style from myecig or e-cig-cales.
So far I'm pretty happy overall.

it is the ruyan fluid that is in their carts. they dont produce any vapor or hardly any upon exhale. as to not look like smoking. if u refill their carts with a different liquid like the one from ecigsales etc.. u will get good vapor. even though it not there when u inhale using the ruyan filled carts, u are still gettin it. just take time since u cant really see any on exhale.

Cool... that makes me feel better about this whole thing. I know I'm getting nicotine from it because I feel pretty satisfied after about about a cigarette's worth of puffing. I haven't had a cigarette since I got it.

As per shawnp1 said about no vapor upon exhale. It is normal with some of ruyan's liquid. I have a ruyan no1 disposable cigar "ruyan vegas" and it does the same thing.. if you puff and release.. you get vapor.. puff and inhale.. nothing upon exhale but you sure do feel it.

I gotta find my cigar and morpheus sun glasses... haven't used either one much since the video I made...lol

Just a small update now that I've had it 4 days...
Things are going pretty well. I've only had one cigarette since I got this thing and that was just to see what it was like.
The vapor has gotten better. It produces more now and if I take a big drag it feels pretty close to a cigarette.

Still nothing or almost nothing when I exhale, which bothers me a little. My feeling is that a big part of the smoking experience is the feeling of the smoke while you blow it out, as well as seeing it.

They taste is still okay though it would be nice to have something a little more tobacco flavored. The taste is a little hard to describe. Kind of like a sweet plastic taste? Not offensive though. I got two zero nic cartridges with it and they don't taste like anything. I'm not sure but maybe Ruyan leaves out the flavoring in these cartridges? Just PG and nicotine...

Battery life is good. I spent 9-10 hours at work with it and still had a good battery. I've been recharging them before they've drained completely. They also charge very fast. Even after that 10 hour day it took less than an hour to charge up.

I've been using about 1 to 1.3 cartridges a day. My cigarette habit consists (consisted hopefully) of 20-30 Marlboro Reds a day.

As soon as I get some more money I'll probably buy one of Mel's pen styles and use that for normal usage, then use this one for "stealth" usage such as when I'm at work or in public places and it's better to not blow out smoke.

Oh one thing I've noticed is what was stated in previous posts. The nic hit doesn't happen right away. Cigarettes have a lot of chemicals to bring nicotine into your system faster. So I smoke this differently than a cigarette. My session will last about 30 minutes taking a puff every 1-2 minutes until I feel satisfied.
