I have to say I am not impressed at all. Reading the rave reviews of the Kissbox I bought one several weeks ago. The atomiser works. That's about all I can say about it. I am impressed with the battery and the manual switch which work extremely well with a £6 atomiser I bought from e-cigs.co.uk One of the batteries though was dead on arrival and the manual switch is now working thanks to the sellotape used to fix the button in place. No replacements have yet been received. |

take your business elsewhere ... i won't deal with any company overseas at this point. njoy, smartfixx, meltrex ... although they may get their stuff from overseas, are at least stateside and can handle customer service concerns/complaints/returns, etc... and all seem to have great Customer Service. Everyday I see more and more complaints about Janty  ... kind of getting tired of them

I wonder where the good Doc Jmlk is. He was absolutely ecstatic about the kiss, and now we don't hear about him at all. There was so much hype about the kiss. I gotta wonder if Janty gave him a bunch for free. Doc, if you are reading and I am wrong, please forgive me. It's just that I am VERY disappointed.

I've been wondering the same thing -- and missing his updates. He seemed so sure that the Kissthingy was the Second Coming. The "prove it" crowd might have done the right thing.

you never know ... Doc Jmlk could be their Marketing Director or be associated with them directly ... might make sense why he did what he did ... just a thought

Nah. He's one of the Good Guys. Believe it. I'm sure he's very busy winding up his trials, but it would be nice to get an update on those Kissthingys he so fell in love with. Keep in mind that he was pretty happy with Njoy until the Kissthingys came along. He also posted that he's spent $30,000 of his own money on devices so far. He's a good man, not a Ruyan plant.

*atomizer work well (but not better than previous model of Janty Classic), so its the same actually and after 2 weeks of use i need to clean it; even i use only the cartridges of janty. *battery- the good side, that its charge fast (1 hour), but i dont feel that its last longer than other, even the bat from e-cig last the same or even longer for me. * manual switch- not working stable, waiting for the replacement or answer from Janty * design - i see a some minuses there: cheap plastic at the end, the joints made not very well-you can almost curve the cig, color going off very fast. i think its very good that Janty experimenting and developing a new way of e-cig, but definitely they should not charge so much for the model, which we are (customers) are testing | |

Well, I'm still keeping the faith, but the board doesn't lie and the amount of concern shown here is obviously worrying. Here's how the Janty thang went for me. My KB Yentl atomiser died the first day. This has been replaced but the two auto batts are knackered. The manual battery is operating trouble free. However, I'm a single point of failure away from the Yentl going offline again. My KB Classic lasted two days then the atomiser corpsed. The manual switch may or may not work. Ludo posted a tip about what the resistance on a healthy atomiser / switch should be but I can't get a reading from the digital micrometer I bought (could be ineptitude, though. For all I know I bought a Geiger counter). Both devices were great while they worked and I am enjoying the Yentl. However, I handle it now like it was made of spun glass, and that doesn't suit my nature. My stuff has to take a kicking and keep on ticking. At the moment I have a Classic manual switch, a Classic atomiser and two Yentl auto batts waiting for replacement. Also a Yentl atomiser that HAS been replaced. OK, we're early adopters but that's too much failure in top-line kit. To be fair to Janty, I think something major has happened (not necessarily bad, just overwhelming). I was in the middle of a (mail) conversation with Harry and it just stopped. Prior to that he was very forthcoming. I don't believe anyone in their position (working to secure a decent chunk of an emerging market) would go from great service to radio silence without there being a good reason at bottom. I'm still up for these devices. The USB gizmo on the Classsic is great and I like the form factor on the Yentl. I'll be patient yet awhile.

I bought a Kissbox and thought it was brilliant so I ordered a second one. Unfortunately, the second one is hopeless and I plan to email Harry next week to ask for a new atomiser. The first couple of puffs are okay and after that, nothing. I am away from home at the moment so can't receive a replacement. My conclusion for the Kiss is that if you get a good one you'll love it but it's a gamble. If Janty keep sending out faulty atomisers their good name will be in tatters. These things need thorough testing before dispatch. |
