Default Some doubts from the Far East...

Hi everyone here....

I accidentally chanced upon this new product to me call e-cigarettes just today and am extremely interested in getting one to replace the age old tobacco cigs.... But there are some concerns that hopefully someone could enlighten me as to some questions....

1)Firstly, i reside in Singapore, in South East Asia, and is there anything to look out for when shipping such a product to each country, i.e. are e-cigs regulated like tobacco or not considered so..., will it clear customs like any normal package?

2)Also due to being so far away, the last few hours browsing thru the forums to acquaint myself to e-cigs has brought a worrying issue: i noticed a relatively high number of claims of defective products(atomiser, batteries) being mailed to lots of customers and needed to be replaced immediately after the package was open.... as i figure most coys are in either the U.S. or Europe, will replacements be covered by the coys outside of their country? since shipping costs are quite high in my case.

3)the few brands i've picked out from varous reviews in this forum are JantyKissboxes, Njoy, Sedansa and Crown Seven. Which one of these, or even other brands, would you guys recommend to convince a starter like myself to start smoking e-cigarettes.

4)Lastly, if i'm going to order 1 shipment to last me at least 3 months, what and how many of the parts(e.g. atomiser, batteries and cartridge plus anything else) would i need to include in the order....

Thx a lot for any guidance....

Looking forward to placing my order as soon as possible.....

McSocker,
I'm pretty new to e-smoking as well, and have tried only one brand so far. First, I think the thing to remember is that for your e-cig itself, you want to go for quality over anything else. With this in mind, I would spring for a Janty or NJoy. I have an NJoy and am very glad I paid the premium for it.
Second however, for things like extra cartridges (think disposable razor blades of smoking) there is no need to go to the expensive sites. For things like this, go to e-cig.com. They sell a 5-pack of carts for $1.75 verses other sites that sell the same 5-pack for $24.95. Bottom line, buy the e-cig from an expensive site, but the accessories from a site like e-cig.com

you could also search ebay for one the cheaper models direct from china. look for a dse103 (cigarette style) or a rn4075(mini) or rn4071(pen-style). you should be able to get a good package deal. just make sure to get extra atomizers and batteries. all of them fail no matter what brand. the more expensive ones have a longer warranty but you still have to deal with sending them back+shipping. there are ways of mantaining your parts in good condition so they dont fail as quickly of which i should post a thread about soon.
peace

Alrite thx a lot for the prompt and helpful replies...

Since being mindful of the shipping charges, i'm gonna purchase all the stuffs from e-cig.com to save some money....despite seeing quite a number of complaints about the site...

So pending 1st order:
E-miniCig Package, including 2 batteries, 1 charger, 1 atomizer, 25 eCarts menthol flavour, half high nic half medium nic
10 eCarts flue-flavoured medium nic
10 eCarts Coffee flavoured medium nic
1 additional atomizer
1 EminiCig case

Total price: US$64.13 + Shipping = US$82

You guys think these supplies will get me through 2 months before i start to order more supplies and experiment wif e-liquids? btw on average i smoke ard 10 cigs a day
any other advices?

have saved the shopping cart, will put the order through tomorrow... wish my luck....

Well think about this. Even if it breaks down...
I don't know about where you're at, but $82 is less than the price of two cartons of Marlboros here.
I'm sure at very least you'll get two cartons worth of use out of it. Even if you don't, you'll have plenty of liquid for your next e-cig. What you got looks exactly like what I was going to order from e-cig.com before I decided to go with my Ruyan E-Cigar.
Don't regret your decision until you find out if it works for you!

OK, gotta tell you...I've recieved my first e.Cig.com order and here are the details:

The Good:
- Despite hearing tales of packages taking upwards of two months to arrive, I placed my order on a Friday and it arrived the following Wednesday! So, we're talking three business day from China.
- Also, the quality of the MiniCig I ordered was not as awful as I had ready...pretty sturdy, not at all "plasticky" or cheap.

The Bad:
- Those who said the e.cig.com's mini doesn't produce much smoke...well they're RIGHT. Very puny amount of vapor (I swear I must have looked like Dolly Parton suckin on a graden hose) However, to be fair, this is a MINI after all and those who are used to the traditional e-cigarette (pen-style) as I am, will not see nearly as much smoke with any mini I'm guessing.
- OK, now for the real issue....I know I have suggested ordering carts from e-cig.com because of their price. However, the mini that I ordered came with sixty five carts (Marlboro flavor/High). I have to say that the flavor of these carts is the single nastiest thing I've EVER tasted. I mean we're talking hideous...something between rotted cherries and turpentine. Now, I don't know if this is just the Marlboro flavor that tastes this way or what, but now I'm very leery about ordering other flavors. NJoy's carts however have the absolute BEST flavor - absolutely fantastic. Anyway, if anyone is familiar with the different e.cig.com flavors (and NJoy for that matter) can you let me know if they're all just as nasty or if anyone lese has experienced this? Thanks!
