    Angry Puresmoker Please Stop Deleting Negative Threads. It’s Shady.

    Just realized I shouldn't double post. Original thread is in the Puresmoker forum.

    This post is growing in the Puresmoker forum. I suggest people visit it and voice their opinions on having a supplier being a mod.

    Supplier = moderator

    does not equal

    best interest of the e-cigarette consumer.

    Consumers need to read and realize that those subforums are meant for advertising, first and foremost, thus, negative threads will be better served taking place in other areas of the board, such as the review section.

    Why are you so adamant about this D_Struct? Makes sense to me that at the very least, consumers are aware that suppliers can delete or edit posts on their forum.

    I don't think it's clear enough that the trader boards are shops and not subject to the usual moderation of the rest of the forum. A clearer visual distinction from the rest of the boards would help.

    I might be wrong but I believe that the trader who is an admin does not moderate certain parts of the forum in recognition of conflicting interests, that would mean that they don't have anything to do with controlling the review board.

    I think it's pretty obvious that at least SOME people here don't totally understand the general rule of thumb regarding supplier subforums. They're, for the most part, meant for advertising, and not a good place to put reviews that shine negative light on said business.

    Might as well explain it now, and save the tons of complaints about deleted threads, and whatnot.

    There's a place for critiques, and the supplier's subforums are not it (in most instances).

    If one wants to say their piece, without fear of moderation, go to the review section and have at it. If you want to directly communicate with a supplier regarding an issue, send them a private message or email them. Seems pretty simple.

    Perhaps that's the answer. Cash has always abided by the rules and moderated fairly. His sponsored forum his just that HIS.
    But maybe it would be wise for he and SJ to discuss whether or not Cash should moderate the Review and General Discussion sections.

    Just an option to consider, SJ.

    BTW: The FAQ outlines the boundaries that the Suppliers have within the main forum and their own. It also covers the correct way for members to address issues that perhaps they feel are not "kosher". Bringing this up in a the supplier's forum AND in the General Discussion board should have been your last resort, not your first. Have a look at it in detail at your leisure.

    Of course, what would preclude 'supplier espionage' from occuring? We know there are some that use questionable ethics and spammers, but couldn't they also use negativity or made up problems against others to boost their own product sales? I believe that the suppliers have every right to delete/modify posts because they would possibly realize that the guy complaining about buying 10 bad atomizers that were all DOA without a return email or good service is just Herbie over at ABC atomizer shop who quickly chimed in that all of his are mucho better. Hahahaha...just a thought....
