Default Getting an e-cig for my grandma, need opinions.

I realize I can go back into the forum and read everyone's opinions about different e-cigs. But I wanted something up to date, and recommendations based on the situation I'm in. So sorry if this is a little bit of a redundant post. Here goes:

I just found out the other day my grandma was diagnosed with lung cancer. It's stage 4 she said. She doesn't have much longer. Months maybe. She's smoked 4 packs a day for 30 some years. She smokes Carlton 100's (some of the lightest cigarettes you can get).

Now she needs to quit smoking. Not just because of the cancer, but because she needs to keep her lungs clear to prevent pneumonia and general bad lung health.

I let her try my myecig.com penstyle today and she loved it.
She wants to use the patch, then use an e-cig with zero nic cartridges to help her with the actual act of smoking. Anyone who smokes 4 packs of ultra light 100's a day isn't so much in it for the nicotine, as the act of smoking itself. This was something she said...

My uncle is there with her for a few days with his laptop and I gave him three sites to check out in this order:

NJOY - All the Pleasures of Smoking Without All the Problems
    www.smatfixx.com
MyEcig.com Your Online Shopping For Electronic Cigarettes

Now she's 67 years old. A huge amount of vapor is not too important, as this will be just to replace the cig that was in her hand before. Nicotine is from her patch, so as long as she tastes and sees the vapor she should be okay.

I see her once a week or more, so I can fix stuff and maintain the e-cig for her, but it is really important that it works while I'm not there, and is simple for her to change cartridges, etc.

I've read most of the posts on this forum, but I thought I'd ask your guys' and gals' opinion on this...

I wanted to get her one from myecig.com just because we can get the special with two spare atomizers. That way if one poops out she can just use a different one while I deal with the broken one. The problem with this is that Mel doesn't sell zero nic cartridges.

NJoy seems good but their cartridges are expensive. Though I don't think she would go through more than 1-2 carts a day.

It's going to be another 2-3 days before he actually places the order. So I have a little time.

I just wanted to get your opinion on my situation and what you think would be best for her...
    Thanks!

Get her the KISS classic box for sure.
They are open for bussiness right now.
It might be a little expensive.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandma.

Why not order from Myecig and order zero nicotine from Jane (ecigsales.com) and refill. Just a thought.

First, my sincere condolences. She's an unlucky loser in the Russian Roulette that cigarette smoking is.

I'd buy her a pen style from myecig.com, with the two extra atomizers. Then YOU take out the cores from the low-nic cartridges and carefully wash them under running water. Press out the excess water by rolling them gently on a paper towel. Put them back into the cartridges.

Now, get a Bickford extract in a flavor she'll love. She doesn't need tobacco taste and will like the taste and vapor from the Bickford extracts. Is she a coffee lover? I use Kahlua and love it (but I cut it at least a third with vegetable glycerine, because it's very strong otherwise).

Glad you're able to help her. Exiting life is difficult enough without complicating it further with mandates to dump a lifetime habit. Let her enjoy e-smoking from now on. Tell her she influenced you -- and now it's your turn to influence her with your e-cigarette knowledge. Bet she'll thank you and be proud that you're a pioneer in a New Age.

    Keep us posted.

i would give myecig.com a try super great to deal with. heck of a nice too. actually takes time to make sure everything is working and ready to go right out of the box. i would say try that as my kissbox is a real p.o.s. 3 dead usb cables, still waiting for someone to ship me a new atomizer as it was very weak to start an now is dead.lol oh well
