a few months ago i emailed JC a question and they never replied...i believe this may be why.

it is a warning listed at the bottom of their homepage

    MSN and HOTMAIL users:
Please be aware that currently we are unable to send emails to MSN and Hotmail email addresses. As such, we can and do see your emails to us, but unfortunately, any responses from us are rejected by MSN and Hotmail and sent back to us as "undeliverable". The reason for this is that the software built in to both MSN and Hotmail sees our web address as being from a "tobacco-oriented" website, and therefore will not permit email from our site. We are working to correct this with Microsoft and hope to have the matter cleared up very soon. In the meantime, we suggest that you use an email address other than MSN or Hotmail if you need to get in touch with us. We sincerely apologize for what is no doubt a very frustrating matter. support@johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com

If true, this does raise some interesting questions about e-mail providers and any [presumably moral] opinions that they may have...

I suppose this is as good a thread as any to ask this -

Could someone please volunteer to contact Johnson Creek and make them aware of the problems with the flavouring chemical diacetyl - Inhaling Flavouring Chemicals

I don't know if they're aware of it but some Bickford flavours contain diacetyl and Bickford claim to provide flavourings to eliquid manufacturers.

Anybody willing to mention this to them ... even if they already know and have taken steps to avoid diacetyl it won't do any harm to mention it to them?

    Hi Kate,

Thanks for the reminder about diacetyl, I will e-mail them since I use JC liquids more often than not.

I'll report back if/when I get a reply from them...

This was brought up in another thread but relating to Lorann's. I did email Lorann's and they confirmed that they do NOT use diacetyl..........

Thanks Kitabz, that's great. Let us know if they reply.

Yes Elendil, I checked with LorAnn a few months ago and they said they didn't use diacetyl at all. My worry started when Bickford told me that they do use it in some flavours and that the provide flavourings for a eliquid manufacturers. They haven't told me which flavours have it yet and seemed not to be aware that it has caused lung disease when inhaled.

The risk might be very low, I don't know, but I'd rather check and be safe than sorry.

Okay, I've just sent the e-mail asking the to confirm that they do not use this chemical in any of their flavourings.

    I'll keep you updated...

[I was tempted to ask why their vanilla ice cream has gone from light pink to blood red but I thought I'd better keep that query separate!]
