I will stand by what many of us have concluded based on what we have scene--and continue to tell people that the 801 is a better unit based on fact and not opinion---and yes, threading issues are now becoming more prevelent with the RN4072's. Previoulsly this was not reported to often--but now it is being reported all to much---Heaven Gifts reports a 50/50 chance so that is an issue to watch out for with compatilblitly--Sun

RN's don't only suck in design, THEY suck; look what it also says in the website:

"Attention:
We just got a notification from RN factory today that they would not provide guarantee for RN atomizers any more, so from March 31st, 2009, we do not provide guarantee for RN atomziers in future orders either. We already lowered the price for the RN atomizer and RN starter kit.

As the factory didn't accept to lower their price for atomizers even without guarantee, we have to keep the price.

Sun - Heavens Gifts also says the factory no longer warrantys the RN4072, and they can't either because of that. They also state that they tried to get a lower price on them for this reason and the factory refused. As for my experience with an RN4072 it did work great - for 3 days, then the atty failed. The supplier I purchased it from is replacing the atomizer under their warranty though. I have since ordered some "real" 801 atomizers. Also Sun, are those pics online? If so could you point me toward them. I haven't had one fail out of warranty so I haven't taken one apart and I'm intensely curious.

Hello good people--thanks for the reports here--very important--I will be posting those photos right here so everyone can see what is going on with these RN4072's --they will be posted within tomorrow and I will post them right here in this thread---Thanks again -------Sun

Hi Milo-- Sounds like you have gotten some of the polyester core on the bridge and wire mesh--everytime you heat the atomizer you are cooking that polyester and getting that taste--Try boiling the atomizers for 10 minutes and rinse them good --let dry and reprime with e-liquid and then give them another go--this might help---Sun

Sounds logical because thats about what it tastes like. I'll give it a try
