| I have spent a while now researching e-cigs and would really like my partner to give them a try however he is reluctant. He thinks he wil look stupid in front of friends and says he enjoys his normal cigs. I hate the smell of his normal cigs, and smoking really makes him stink! I know its his choice in the end but just want him to have a go. He is slightly more interested having flcked through this forum. I was thinking of a super mini for cosmetic reasons and the act he only smokes about 20-30 a week. |

| Hi Sasha, welcome to the forum! I was worried about looking at bit stupid at first and I bought the super mini. I've discovered now that unless you make it obvious a lot of people don't even notice it's not real! And when they do they are often more interested than anything else, and for those who think it's stupid, he's just trying something new! What's the big deal? Spider

| I think a lot of us were uncomfortable with smoking this in public, however, it is a great conversation starter and I have converted several of my friends to e-smoking. |

| I think if he'd be willing to try a Ruyan Vegas cigar that he'd be seen as trendy, not stupid. Those look sophisticated! After a week, he might get hooked on e-smoking. You're in the Valley of the True Believers, so few here will acknowledge that blogs following news articles on e-smoking often contain damning remarks from smokers about how stupid this looks to them. We have to acknowledge and address that perspective. Last edited by TropicalBob; 07-15-2008 at 04:56 PM. |

| Superminis are very convincing replicas. My wife sent me to the smoking room for using one in the wrong part of the house, and she knew what it was! Emp

| Haha Emperor, my girlfriend still doesn't really like me smoking e-cigs in the house, she just doesn't get it - almost like she's scared of it because she doesn't understand it, even though she knows it doesn't smell or choke anyone. She still makes me show it to everyone we meet though! TB: What are you talking about? Everyone loves e-cigs and thinks they look amazing! Heh

| a lot of guys think the penstyles are effeminate, particularly the coloured ones. Me don't care, as long as it delivers...
