Hello everyone.
Now, I'm new... I've never used any of these, and I'm thinking of buying a 901 from liberation soon. (I like the different colors.)
So I see people saying this e-cig has more throat his then that one....
But I don't understand why one delievery system would put out more hit then another, unless the amount of vapor was significantly different. If you get X amount of vapor Y, then you should get equal hit.
I mean, this is like a gun. It's the bullets that do the job, right? If you have a colt, a s&w, a glock, and a ruger, all with 4 inch barrels shooting 9mm slugs, the on target effect should be exactly the same.... provided you have the same brand of bullets, because all the gun does is to launch the bullet.
Now, the E-cig should just launch the vapor. The 'hit' should be an effect of the contents of the vapor, right?
Now, I can see that it's possible that one produces more vapor then another..... IF one pumps it out like a hose then thats the difference between a 9mm and a .45 you might say. But that's jkust adding more weight to the progectile.
But if they provide the same amount of vapor then it should be all liquid.... right?
Or do some of these better atomize the nicotine so it's more easily absorbed?
So here's me thing. It 'seems' to me that the liquid you use should be the defining factor in hit, not the machine you put it in.....
Why is that not correct?

Everything about an e-cig plays a factor, Greysaber
To the type and content of the juice, to the amount of power the battery is providing, to the quality of the atomizer itself. Down to the cartridges and their absorption to keep the atomizer lubercated.

If something is irratating my throat on inhale, like a scratching feeling, I wouldn't classify that as throat hit. Many people get that confused with the Actual feeling of density of smoke traveling through the throat, into the lungs and back out again.

If your looking for that feeling, A fresh 510/dura/titan is a great choice, when they are fresh that it is. Normal use and wear will destroy it, if you dont take maint percautions. Best bet would definitely be a mod that outputs a good amount of power. A 901 atomiser works just fine and is most compatible with the mods out there. Just as everyone has subjective taste when it comes to smoking juice flavors, so does everyone's tolerance or concept of throat hit. While many are totally satisfied using low nicotine juices and the associated throat hit, many are not; seeking a more analog-like experience from the vapor.
I am throroughly convinced that nicotine strength and heat are two vital components to throat hit. There is no question that high nic juices are going to irritate more. The heat component is available using one of the many manual switch devices previously mentioned.
