i have tried all sorts.. a mini cart only holds half a ml.. they cost about the same as a classic cart which holds twice as much.. if u drip or top up the cart size dosnt matter if u only buy and use new mini carts put the cart cost up..
my actual daily liquid use is two to three ml per day.. this is what i would drip or top up into the device i am using at the time.. the type would not change this amount
but three ml would be three classic carts or six mini carts.. this only really effects the cost if u dont drip up top up..

This has been covered before for you fishy, but to reiterate what I've already said about the number of carts used.
In my pen style I use about a cart and a half a day, sometimes two carts, but it averages out at about three carts every two days.
My mini is a completely different thing altogether as I'm stuck with the stupidly tiny interim sized carts that are being shipped with DSE901's at the moment. They suck big time ! I'm using as many as 5 or more of them a day and if they have leaked because the cover cap isn't on properly, the can last as short as 15-30 minutes before it's time to change it. There are also really to small to bother topping off. I'm using them up as fast as I can then the 901 goes into a drawer until I can get some decent carts to use with it again.
It's a shame really as it is a great device to use, it's just totally ruined by a pathetically tiny, waste of time, ridiculously stupid cartridge.

Jeez, MNZ...why do have to beat around the bush? Why not tell us how you really feel about the cartridges?

LOL, Do you think I should be a bit more explict in my opinion of them ?

No, it was just fine. I was going to postpone my cart order but you've talked me into it. Great review MNZ!
Now, who was that seller again.... Tom Thumb?

DSE901 by whoever made a pretty good atomizer, carts by tomme tippee (baby size)

Sorry I'm just getting around to replying to something that has now drifted several pages backward ...
In Dr. Murray Laugesen's interim report on e-smoking, the only testing we have on our practice, there is section 3.4:
"3.4 Dual use. Smokers may take some time to switch completely from tobacco to nicotine smoking. As long as they continue to smoke even a few cigarettes a day their risk of dying early remains excessive. (The risk of smoking even 1-4 cigarettes a day carries a 60% excess risk of dying early. Smoking 5-9 cigarettes a day doubles the risk of dying early, compared with never smoking). In particular their excess risk of heart attack will not diminish substantially until they quit tobacco smoking entirely."
The entire important report on e-smoking can be read at http://theruyanmedia.com/uploads/REC...rim_Report.pdf.
I don't understand people who would reject this statistically derived conclusion. I mean, smoke if you want to, but don't try to make it seem reasonable. It isn't. You smoke because you're an addict bowing to your addiction (and paying ever-more handsomely to quiet the demons in your head). I know, because I'm a smoker. Always will be. I haven't smoked a cigarette in more than a year, but I am an addict.
And I'm not an "anti". I despise them and their tactics. Makes me so mad sometimes that just want to light up again. But I won't. The bottom line is: If they get their prohibition, lives will be extended and saved. That's sad for a smoker to admit, but it's true. I'm just glad I came through history when I did. For 50 years, I enjoyed smoking in blissful denial and ignorance.
Those good old days are ending, likely to be relegated to history country by country in coming years. Tobacco Road, we can see now, is a dead end.

Thanks for that post TB, I totally agree with you. However, you're a little better at making the point than me
Thanks for including something from Dr. Murray Laugesen as well, I've been meaning to see how that is going.

I overlooked linking to his second report. Much is the same. But it is the most current: http://www.healthnz.co.nz/2ndSafetyReport_9Apr08.pdf
About the only thing that jumped at me in this report were new figures on nicotine absorption from 16mg (high) Ruyan cartridges. Earlier, nicotine was measured as half as much as a regular cigarette. Note in this new report that it takes FIVE inhalations to equal one cigarette puff. We have to e-smoke five times as long as regular cigarette smoking. Quite a drop-off.
That could explain complaints about no "nic kick" and the fact that these never take care of my nicotine addiction. Other methods do that. not e-smoking. Too weak on nicotine ... just like the NRT products.

being as some of the devices i have tried generate ten x the amount of smoke as others do i dont think generalizations can be applied.. plus a huge amount of smoke from a normal cig gets wasted.. with a wimp device it obvious to the user they have to puff a lot more to get the fix.. with a good smoke producer using 24 mg liquid it isnt so obvious..
also normal cigs and the way they are smoked varies.. all i know is when i have a real cig i am still likely to pick up an e cig straight afterwards.. basically i think its impossible to make such generalizations..
but i dont put as much faith in statistics or scientific tests as u seem to bob.. i have read that much contradictory bull**** over the years not to believe any of iit.. course this does leave me the problem of having to find things out using other means..
i recon all published "news" is propaganda.. the only real news is what u aint supposed to find out.. he he
i am a lifetime heavy smoker.. i am also 100% certain a good e smoking device can more than satisfy my nicotine needs.. i am also 100% certain a poor one cannot satisfy my nicotine needs.. but then again neither can the average weak cigarette.. i take the odd one offered to me and its just as obvious to me it isnt doing the business as a crap e cig is..
the nicotine content of my rolling tobacco is way higher than the average ready made cigarette.. i have never smoked the average ready made filter tipped cigs.. always gone for the high strength stuff..
my views are pretty simple.. if e smoking can satisfy my nicotines needs it can satisfy anybodies..
having said that.. i do feel one has to be a mechanical genius to make the bloody things work in a reliable consistent manor all day and every day..
so as general public device they have failed.. as i think u have said and rat.. not yet ready for release to the general public.. only as a placebo or occasional use party smoking device..
trog
ps.. i do smoke the odd real cig.. but its not because my e smoking devices arnt giving me enough nicotine.. its more for social reasons.. if a real smoker offers me one.. i take it..
none of the real smokers i know take the e smoking devices seriously..
