Default 901 USB Passthrough and Mac

I just got a pass through for my 901 and it works great with my pc at work, and works in a wall plug thru the usb to wall adapter that came with my ipod, but it doesn't work with my macbook pro or my wifes macbook. Is this normal, or is something wrong with my passthrough? Is there a way to fix it so it works with mac?

I have no issues with the 901 passthrough on my Macbook Pro or my iMac. The Macbook Pro is last year model.

Where did you order your passthrough from? Also is your macbook pro the one with the black keyboard or the older one?

I don't have a Mac, but I do find that my passthrough works better when using the power cord on my laptop instead of battery power. The other thing that no one has mentioned, on my laptop the USB ports only function when the computer is turned on. I know it probably sounds silly to say, but when I first plugged in my passthrough, I didn't bother to see if if was on. I knew it was plugged into an outlet. Imagine my surprise when the passthrough didn't work. Oh gee, works great when turned on.

Well looking into it further i found that the macbooks have issues with lack of usb power. I did a smc reset on my wifes macbook and it now works with it, but doing this to my macbook pro hasnt helped. I might look into getting a dual usb plug so i can plug into both ports. People have done this for external HD
