I've lost some weight but I can't tell you how much. The folks at work have asked if I went on a diet as well as not smoking. My pants are loose and my face is not as puffy as it was.

I still have a big belly.

I can't smell or taste any better than I used to when I smoked analogs.

I don't get any hornier than I used to.

I still eat too much, but not more than when I smoked.

I spend as much on vape stuff as I did on tobacco because I have become a hobby nut at this.

    But -

I don't cough nearly as much.

I don't support the creeps who made half my family sick.

I like vaping better than smoking!

I have had trouble even finding a doctor who would be willing to say there is much danger to vapeing. The only warnings I ever hear are you shouldn't do it if you are not a smoker (don't get a new addiction, obviously) and don't do it if your a minor or pregnant. Everyone I've talked to pretty much agrees its a far safer alternative. There is no new mystical property in e-cigs. People bring up studying the vapor forms but I fail to see how this changes things. A vapor doesn't lose its chemical properties. A vapor is a gaseous state that can be returned to a liquid if preasure is increased.

I've been vaping for 14 months now, and off analogs for a year. My blood pressure has gone down rather than up, despite the fact that I have gained weight (unrelated to vaping though). I have read of others whose blood pressure has come down since vaping as well.

Although I do vape more than I smoked in the last year or so of smoking analogs (solely because I can vape indoors), I have managed to bring my nic usage down considerably. I only vape Low (6mg) and Non nic now and seem to move towards Non more and more often. For me the hand to mouth action seems to be the main addictive aspect of smoking.

I chose 90% safer as well. Very subjective I guess, but for me the remaining 10% are the (as yet) unknown factors of vaping long term.

Thats very interesting. The physical side effects of withdrawl go away after three days and most people can fight through them, its the psychological withdarwl that gets most people and thats why the non-nic works well for you so often. I may also try this as well as having strong nic around for serious cravings.

In my most logical and illogical beliefs... I feel that vaping with my DSE-901, using cartridges that contain 32mg/ml of nicotine, and 40% PG, 20%VG, 40% distilled water by volume, is 100% safer than smoking any ignited tobacco cigarette.

That is... I believe 100% that it is safer, not that it is 100% safer than a cigarette.

I normally smoke Marlboro Ultra-light 100's, down to within 1/2" of the fiberglass filter, in approximately 20 puffs that are 5.5 seconds long, 20 cigarettes a day. (400 puffs @ 37 minutes of total puffing time a day. Full inhale. I felt obligated to consume the whole cigarette, even though I had what I needed before I had finished smoking the entire cigarette.)

I now vaporize the above solution, consuming only 4 puffs that are 4.5 seconds long, 20 times a day. (80 puffs @ 6 minutes of total puffing time a day. Partial inhale, partial mouth-only puff. Due to the stronger nicotine content, I require less volume and puffs of non-nicotine byproduct.)

I believe, by consumed use of equal nicotine, with the vaporizer nicotine level being 32mg/ml, that I am consuming nearly 80-times less potential harmful chemicals that would harm me. I also believe the same above setup, harms others around me 5000-times less.

By 80-times less potential harmful, I am implying that the volume of this consumed material, compared to the volume of consumed material from the cigarette, contains 1/80th of the chemical danger from direct use.

By 5000-times less, I am implying that the byproduct of my consumption of the 1/80th of the material, is 1/5000th less harmful to those around my proximity, when compared to the byproducts and physical danger of smoking cigarettes. (This includes house/apartment/forest fires, children picking-up cigarette butts off the ground, unused nicotine levels seeping into water, fiberglass and paper-chemicals filling landfills, second-hand smoke, road-litter, etc...)

1,000,000,000 smokers holding miniature fields of dried plants on fire, smoldering away all day long... We smoke longer than we drive, on average. That is one large forest fire. (I am not implying that transportation is cleaner, just pointing out that odd fact.) WHO resources.

I'm willing to take the long-term risk because I think it's much less harmful than analogs. I do know that in less than a year my lungs have cleared up and I'm breathing a lot better. Don't get winded like I used to.
