Question Opinions on vaping safety

How safe do you think vaping is likely to be for you compared with smoking tobacco?

Please take all known risks into account, including accidental overdose.

I am a wee bit confused. I want to say that vaporizin' is at least 3x ( 300% ) less dangerous.

Is '"100% safer" equivalent to "completely safe" - as in 100% safety and 0% harm? Also, the term safer would mean that there is some basic safety involved with smoking...

I couldn't even guess.

I can tell you that I have cut down on my nicotine. I vape more than I smoked but most of the time I use 0mg and using a nicotine cart when I feel I need a dose.

I do know that I am breathing better, I have more energy and am drinking a lot more water due to the dehydration.

I'm not absolutely sure how percentages work Snarky but yes, I think that's what I mean. 100% meaning no risk.

Sorry but I don't think I've set this up very well and I can't clarify.

Going by how I feel, vaping has to be a better method then smoking analogs. I worry more about vaping the flavors from Lorann then I worry about the nic or the PG.
I don't know how I would OD, I'm careful to count my drops. I guess a supplier could misprint the nic mg's.

Well, I can only say this Kate. I actually feel healthier since vaping (even though I still smoke some analogs....but nothing compared to before). When I used to lay down at night, I used to get this annoying post nasal drip type thing that would make me have to keep clearing my throat (so annoying when you're trying to fall asleep). I don't have that anymore...nor the smokers cough in the morning....nor spitting up all that lung "junk".

I had to visit a prison the other day....up 3 flights of stairs to talk with an employee. Before vaping, I could really feel those 3 flights, breathing wise. The other day, it was a breeze! And I haven't had a cold since vaping, which although I do consider myself overall healthy anyway, I would get one every winter. (I am exposed to a lot of people on a daily basis too.)

And I actually feel calmer too....even my son noticed I don't seem so edgy. I do have to attribute that to my vaping because the more I am able to vape in a day, the more calmer I feel (although I don't know what part of vaping actually produces that effect).

And that is why when people ask me about it, I can only say it has been a healthier alternative for me. I make no proclamation it will be so for them. Everyone is different. And I always include how much less I smoke since vaping....hoping to someday say it helped me quit altogether.

And that is why I am also leery on vaping around others, especially children. Until there's a 10 year study on both vapers and those exposed to them that says vaping is 100% harmless, then I can't (and won't) tout it that way. That's just my way, anyway.

I have no scientific evidence only the difference I have noticed switching from analogs.
I no longer wake up coughing every morning, hacking up nasty phlem.
I no longer get out of breath walking or climbing stairs.
I sleep better. I have more energy. I feel better.
I only got liquid from the mouthpiece a few times when I first started because I was trying to "smoke" it like an analog which caused a tingling and momentary numbness of tongue.
I have not experienced any of the symptoms of OD such as dizziness, nausea, etc.
As a result of this I think it is safer than analogs.
My craving for analogs is MUCH less than with previous tries to quit using patches and gum. I have gone from at least a pack a day to 2 or 3 usually 1st one in the morning and after eating.

I couldn't even guess. We all hope vaping is safer. In the short term it seems safer. But the long term effects of inhaling what is in our e-liquid, is a big question mark. We know what is in a cigarette from years of studies. We can only be optimistic that this is better for us. I pray it is.

Well I'm pretty much convinced that for me it's far better than smoking but there's always the possibility that perceptions won't reveal the whole story.

I've become critical of absolute certain claims and question pretty much everything now but in my final analysis I still feel great. My quality of life has improved, I feel physically and mentally far, far better. I'm going to hazard a guess that for me vaping is maybe 90% less damaging than smoking.

Ditto. I treat my 'PV' exactly as I would a smoldering cigarette in regards to public courtesy/safety and the law.

But as for my first-hand exposure, I certainly feel much better after the switch. I can now walk until my feet hurt, instead of stopping short when I get winded. If they aren't much less harmful for you, then they must contain some powerful hypno-drugs or somethin'
