mine when into one a few hours ago.. a foul taste.. but two or three drops into the atomizer seemed to get rid of it quickly.. its not something that can be changed easily phil.. the littile chips must be made in huge batches and cost next to nothing to produce.. i would guess all from the same huge chinese "little chip" factory.. i have never found it to be much of a problem.. the re-wetting of the atomizer seems to fix it.. trog |

I'm wonderign if when hte batteries get worn out some that they trigger the cleaning modes mroe often because I definately noticed increased occurances o0f the cleaning mode after abotu 1 month of use with hte penstyles as the batteries wore down some- the first couple of weeks I never had one cleaning take place, but hten it seemed liek every other day- somethimes a couple of times with hte same battery and atomizer in one day- just got the rotton burnt taste to where it was semi tolorable & wham- it went into another cleaning mode- Arggg! But I caught it in time and unscrewed the battery the second time.

Update: the next day it did a second autocleaning. Today the atomizer went south, it was about a month old and no problem until today, 3 days after the autocleaning....next time am going to follow the other poster's guidance of unscrewing the battery pronto! Barbara

This seems like just such a ridiculous idea. Just got a replacement atomiser for my Gamucci Micro, and after 20 minutes this kicks in, taking me completely by surprise, and now it tastes disgusting. So as Jarvis said, all this does is fry the fibre inside the coil, even tho it was thoroughly soaked with e-liquid. My reactions are kinda slow today; I'd normally have unscrewed it in time. But as I'm half asleep today, I just pulled the cartridge off instead and just gawped at it, as it crackled and visibly burned ![]() What worries me is even if this stuff doesn't burn, is that it's continually degrading during the lifetime of the atomiser, and whatever fumes its giving off are being combined with the inhaled vapor and accumulating inside me. Or am I just being paranoid? Perhaps I am, I don't know. But certainly, the auto-cleaning process is flawed and simply damages the atomiser, if not killing it instantly.
