Cool Why do some of them leak?

I'm trying to resell these and have been very pleased with the quality of my stock across the board so far..Until today when I was demoing a new one to someone and it seemed to be leaking excessively. I swapped out the cartridge and the problem continued, so figure now that there is something wrong with the atomizer. I've got a money back guarantee but I don't want unhappy customers in the first place

Any idea what the issue is with offending atomizers so I might look into this/pull them from the stock before shipping them out?

Thanks,
Ben

was the leak on the battery side or the cartridge side of the atomizer?

What model/ style of e-cig is it? Where is it leaking?

I have noticed that sometimes on the mini and supermini that if you drag hard on them when you have a new cartridge that you will get a little liquid in your mouth...

they leak because in essence there is nothing to stop them leaking.. they all need an air passage that connects the outside atmosphere with the atomizer wire wool and heater coil.. air is pulled in thru this passage via the wet atomizer..

some pull in air thru the battery.. some like the 901 thru a little hole in the side of the atomizer.. but in the same way air can get in fluid can get out.. there is nothing to stop this except the fact fluid is thicker than air.. but some fluid finds its way out.. some do it worse than others..

I used to think it was inevitable that all of the penstyles would leak a little bit sometimes. I'd send it back if it was dripping down the side, but a little dew around the connector I wiped off and ignored.

But every one of those e-cigs that leaked a little later wound up leaking a lot.

Meanwhile I finally got a few atomizers that never leaked at all, Like my corrent Njoy, my Smartfixx, My Sedansa, and my Kissbox.

I've only had one 901 ever leak, and I'm 90% sure that was a bad bottle of thin liquid. And none of my superminis have leaked, but they don't hold all that much,so what's to leak.

Heh, disappeared for a bit there folks- to clarify though, it's the mini style (901). I was demoing one for some family in town and an uncle took a puff of it only to end up with a mouthful of nicotine juice. It was leaking from the mouthpiece, right through the hole. I swapped out the cartridge and experienced the same. Maybe you're right about the thin liquid, that makes sense enough

that should not and cannot happen.. unless the whole thing is flooded with fluid.. there is no direct contact between the hole in the end being sucked thru and the wet wool.. the bottom of the wool part is sealed from the air hole..

there are two flutes along the side of the cart these flutes permit air to be drawn up along the outside of the cart.. the air comes up from the atomizer.. the 901 has a long mouthpiece which is a good distance from the wet atomizer.. it takes a good flooding to get fluid in the mouth..

as for super minies and other (small) types i aint gonna comment.. except to say the closer the suck hole is to the wet atomizer the more likely it is to get fluid in the mouth..

this isnt whats normally meant by "leaking".. by the way..

Hi, Was the battery fully charged? (probably was, but thought I'd throw that into the pot anyway!)

A low amount of power from the battery will not allow the atomiser to reach the right temp. to atomise the liquid into vapour resulting in liquid in the mouth.

I've never considered liquid in the mouth to be the same as leaking because I've found it to be under my control rather than one unit being defective.

Most of my liquid-in-the-mouth stops when I change to a fresh battery.

Liquid in the mouth can also occur if the ecig has been held too long, or puffed, with the LED pointing upward.

If either the above have happened, or if I've overfilled the cart, sometimes it pools enough juice in the base of the cartridge that I have to pull the filter fibers out of the cartridge and insert them into another cartridge (that is dry).

I have found that when I drag hard on a new cartridge in one of the 901's that I get a little liquid in my mouth... I had to adjust the way I smoked it initially.. Longer lighter dragging seems to be the way to go with the super mini's.
