Try those atomizers with different batteries. I have several batteries and atomizers that do not work together.

I went out tonight (3-day 901 smoker starter)) with my e- cig to the Pubs, and enjoyed myself.
I don't mind giving back, what I get, so putting my foot-forward is not a problem.
My batteries ran out.
Had to smoke a Marlboro. For medicinal purposes.
Not complaining.
I have nothing but 901's and I love them. Do I have to "tweak" on them at times - oh yeah sure.
But the one thing I've noticed on this forum is that every model has it's own problems.
Anything made in China with the word "battery" included is going to be trouble sooner or later.
Just search the different models and you'll see complaints about all of them and you'll see people who can't live without a certain model.
I just read everything I could about the experiences of others on the 901's and learned how to tweak them when necessary.
Some batteries don't work with some atty's and some atty's draw harder than others and some batteries last longer than others and some juice clogs the atty's and some juice produces clouds of vapor and other juice knocks the back of your throat out and still others taste like lemon pledge. And on it goes....
Don't feel bad about being frustrated and don't quit on the e-cigs. As a newbie I was frustrated too but I hung in there, learned a lot and have been smoke free for 23 days.
Hang in there johngeetar!!!
it's disappointing that they can't make atomizers more reliable
I have found that e-cigs are such a personal preference thing. In my experience I didn't care for my pen style because it had a hard draw and it seemed that the atomizer would produce less and less vapor as I used it. BUT, I loved mixing all my own juice flavors and the ease of refilling. Because of this I am trying to decide if I want to try a DSE-901 or a 501. I would like to have one like this on hand for when I am bored at home and want to do some great juice mixing experiments.
On the vapor king I just love the vapor production, this thing is amazing! Refilling isn't hard but I am always wondering how long my disposable atomizer is going to hold out. Can I refill it one more time? Will more cartridges be stocked before mine all die? Thats the big fear. It is not as easy to be creative with the juice. If you mix up a flavor you hate it is not so simple to pull the fluff out, rinse and replace with a fresh flavor.
Now, the VK would be perfect for my father. He is the type that would not want to mess with it. Put on a new cartridge and go. He would have given up with the pen style and hated vaping.
So, I think you have to weigh out what you want. Then purchase the product that is best for you. Personally I want it all, so I will end up spending some money until I feel like all my needs are met through one device or several.
Bug
There is a reason why the manual PV's have such a large and loyal following. I don't think I've seen one complaint about the manuals such as the 510 or Screwdriver.
