Default Safety of puffed in air passing over the battery

Does anyone know how safe it is to be drawing in air that passes in from the tip of an e-cig? Does is pass directly over the battery? If so, is this safe?

I think even on Auto batteries, most of the airflow comes from the base of the atty.

on Manual batteries, none of the air passes the battery

Thanks. I would think it is sealed too. Chefanim, there are some manuals and automatic brands, that both have a center hole, and the incoming air when you take a draw, comes in at the end of the battery through little 2 little holes around where the light is.
