That charger is only 500Ma. It will charge a battery, but probably will not run a passthrough without straining if it works at all. Passthrough use should be 1 amp.Originally Posted by spradling

spradling, thank you for the heads up. Great find. Very good beal. The first it is the firewire model is rated for the 500Ma but the second and third link is rated for 1 amp and should not a problem with passthrough.Cheaper here:

My bad, I didn't check the first one's specs, the one I have it the 3rd. I can't remember if it works well (if it really outputs 5v 1A) or not, I haven't had my car for a few days and only tested it out once.
@Ice no problem!I know Monoprice because I'm also a tech-geek (now a vapor geek too!), and every geek knows of Monoprice (like NewEgg, it's the place to go to).
I couldn't find this thread... no results for monoprice in title, some results for monoprice in body but I can't seem to find the one you're mentioning.
Edit: I think I found it: Please save yourself some money...wall USB converter.

@Ice I hope you didn't order yet! According to people in the 3rd page of the thread I posted above the adapter DOES NOT work! It doesn't output 1A as advertised.
