    Default Cartridge Roundup

OK, I was filling some cartridges with Johnson Creek Smoke Juice (Almond Coffee Cake, YUM!), and decided to go ahead and do a comparison of all the different cartridges I could round up.

SO, here's my Pen Style Cartridges, with weights and measures:

    PEN CARTS_1024x768.jpg

    Pen Styles
Name / Filler (mm) / Empty Weight / Liquid Volume / Full Weight / 5-Sec Puffs / Refill Amt

    Janty HD / 8Wx45Lx5Th / 0.6gr / 0.8ml / 1.4gr / 70 puffs / .35ml

    Janty Regular / 8Wx27Lx5Th / 0.5gr / 1.1ml / 1.7gr

    NJoy/MyECig / 8Wx30Lx5Th / 0.6gr / 1.0ml / 1.6gr

    ........../Crown7 / 7Wx28Lx5Th / 0.5gr / 1.1ml / 1.6gr

And my Mini Cartridges (at least most of them):

    MINI CARTS_1024x768.jpg

    Super-minis

Name / Filler (mm) / Empty Weight / Liquid Volume / Full Weight / 5-Sec Puffs / Refill Amt

    RN4081 / 5Wx13Lx3Th / 0.2gr / .35ml / 0.6gr

    DSE101b / 5Wx16Lx5Th / 0.2gr / .30ml / 0.6gr

    Minicigarette.net DSE103 / 5DIAMx10L / 0.2gr / .25ml / 0.4gr

    Janty KB Yentyl / 5Wx15Lx3Th / 0.3gr / .35ml / 0.5gr

    Minis
Name / Filler (mm) / Empty Weight / Liquid Volume / Full Weight / 5-Sec Puffs / Refill Amt

    DSE901 / 5Wx20Lx3Th / 0.9gr / .55ml / 1.4gr

    DSE901b / 5Wx12Lx3Th / 0.2gr / .35ml / 0.6gr

Obviously, a lot of the figures on number of puffs, and how much it takes to refill, are still to be filled in. I will update on an ongoing basis.

OK, I've tried everything with Google Docs I can find, and I can't figure out how to post the spreadsheet, so here's a link.

interesting how the 901b has less liquid than the earlier one.. the pattern seems to be less and less liquid with each new design..

let me chuck a couple more types in..

e-pipe.. a nice 2 ml... or around eight times the amount some super minis contain..

e cigar.. ruyan.. these are a little odd.. they could contain roughly 1.4 ml.. they are noticeably larger than the classic a cart.. but the ruyan ones do not seem to be fully filled and only contain 1 ml.. i assume this is deliberate and could be to avoid over wetting and provide a more consistent smoke.. or it could simply be to sell more carts..

i assume an .......... cigar cart will simply come full and hold more..

cigarillo.. it takes a classic cart and holds 1ml

    nice one leaford..

    trog

And if anyone can tell me how to post an Excell spreadsheet or Word Table, it would make this easier and more readable.
    go to google docs leaford
    https://www.google.com/accounts/Serv...epage&rm=false
there you can upload any number of things including a spreadsheet and you can choose to give you a link to the page which you can then post here. you can also edit your spreadsheet and upload it to the same location. google docs renders the spreadsheet as html. very handy. im interested to view your work. thanks for the posts. i also find it remarkable that the dse901b is so tiny. it just put me off buying them.

ps is there a way on this forum to post an achor text link. the old < a herf="..> is not working

The 901b one may be the "interim" design Smokester mentioned. I need to go back and find that post to see. And, of course you can use the old cartridges in it, if you have any.

And, thanks, Obie, I'll check out Google docs. :-)

so the 901 carts fit the 901b..hmm interesting. so what i could do is buy the 901b and the 901 carts and just use those. does the 901b inhaler fit the 901 carts so i can get the black one to match?

it will be brilliant when we have a table of the compatibility of the carts and batteries accross the spectrum of devices out there. you know i think with google docs you can also name people who you allow to edit the spreadsheet so we could get a comprehensive table of data going. i presume that when you split some of the cartridges into two parts, the actula liquid chamber is able to be put onto other inhalers? i dont have enough ecigs to test this having only one.

So far there are no clear differences between the 901 and the 901b other than it being black. They use the same cartridges, so the redesigned cartridges are an issue for both. Check the Supplier forum, Smokester has a thread about it. The manufacturer is changing the cartridge design. Just the cartridge, not the 901 itself.
