I was walking through an airport terminal with my 901 in my pants pocket. It got really hot and got my undivided attention. Unscrewed the battery and didn't give it another thought. It never happened before or since.

Oh yes, I have to keep an eye on mine in the car. I don't keep it in my pocket though :P

I carry my e-cig in an eyeglass case. Even with the vacuum switch batts, I unscrew the atty a couple of turns, just in case.

And people wonder why I prefer manual batteries :-).

The old vacuum switches had their problems but nothing so hot as the new automatics .
