Cool ECF's best threads

Hey guys, another collaberation needed for this one!

The forum has now been going for nearly nine months. In that time we've come a long way on this e-cigarette journey. I expect many here will remember posts that they found particularly interesting or provoking.

Sadly, the nature of a bulletin board is that all threads eventually disappear into the dark nether-regions of old posts, often times never to be seen again.

In light of that, I'd like you all to suggest at least one or two threads that you think stand the test of time, and you think visitors or newer members could benefit from reading. They can come from any of the forums except the review section or the diy-liquid section.

Thanks as always to all of you who make this forum such an excellent resource and friendly place to be.

I will kick off with a recent one from TB.

also i see the tagging system at the bottom but i am not sure how it is used. can i tag any thread i read or only if i started it? i do like the star-rating system, though i have not yet used it and am also unsure how it works, but it should proove to be a method to discern the best threads.
Give it a go, see what happens!

From memory you should be able to tag any thread you like.

The star rating system is problematic since it calculates an average from the ratings input by users. Clearly this isn't a problem on a big board where lots of people use it, but right now for us, it only takes one person to give it 5 stars and - hey presto - you have a 5 star rated thread.

The alternative is to create an arbitrary threshold of numbers of ratings that must be reached before it displays the average number of stars.

I have kept it at 1 since the board started, basically so that people know it is there. perhaps I should bump it up to 2 now....

well, with the current publicity, you could probably crank that dial.

i realise my problem with the tags now, i was lookin for taggin options in the top menu. though it should be in thread tools, now i see it is at the bottom.

Done, set to two, all the ratings have gone (well almost), we'll see what happens.

Is there a better atomizer design?
was glad when this thread got bumped today. i nominate it as a fav if only as it contains a very good graphic by jarvis on the anatomy of an atomizer and also a photo of the guts.

Here are some threads that I don't think should be lost:

Links to e-cig related legal/medical information.
Ingredients in cartridges or E-liquid
Vegetable glycerine (glycerol) - safety discussion
Inhaling PG - perhaps not the great unknown after all
A germ-killing vapor

I was actually just thinking about all the great information I have found here but it also made me think about the last 4 or 5 days I have been reading non stop here.

This place needs to put up some opensource wiki script so we can organize all of this information into a better resource. You could call it Smoke-e pedia.
