I was looking at the hard mini attache cases they make for Nintendo DS lites and inside the front area (where you'd normally keep the game cartridges) there are little strips of elastic meant to keep the stylus and a spare in place. Check Toy'r'us-- you could label one side as your "ready" side and one as your "need to be charged" (oh yeah, there are additional mesh pockets that are just the right size to hold 6 cartridges and 2 dropper bottles.) If you want to keep it really simple use a smiley face decal for charged, and a frowny face decal for drained.

I plan on buying two for myself (one to actually hold my DS Lite and the other to keep my DSE901 and gear in.

Great idea for using rubber bands. I have some teeny ones from the orthodontist. Now there's something I can do with them. Thanks!

Here is the method I use to remember which battery needs to be charged and also to protect the screw-in part from dirt:

Nice, mpetva, very nice. Ingenious way to reuse the caps, never thought of that. Might just have to abandon the rubberbands for this option. Thanks.

    Thanks :-)

One thing I forgot to mention is to make sure to take the little rubber thingy out of the cap(s) first!

The caps ALSO fit the DSE901 batteries!

Sometimes it takes new blood (a newcomer) to come up with new ideas, LOL!!!
    Just kidding!
