My primary use for the e-cig is for smoking in non smoking hotel rooms, which I spend a lot of time in, it is great no more up and down in lifts to designated outdoor smoking areas. Although I will say my normal cig consumption has also dropped dramatically in the last month which is also good.

Have to agree with the like smoking but don't want to use cigarettes anymore, reason. I like to smoke. I started e-smoking to cut down on regular cigarettes, not to quit smoking all together, and the effects of them that had nothing to do with the nic., like that icky taste in your mouth and the smell, and other little things that were starting to bother me about them after thirty years of smoking, but not enough that I didn't still enjoy smoking in general. I did this so easily , in less then a month with a janty I have stopped using cigarettes all together, that I now plan to slowly lower the nic level I'm using til I'm down to zero nic., simply because I dislike the idea of being so dependent on anything. But I have no intention of giving up vaping when I do, I enjoy smoking, vaping, it relaxes me and I don't see any reason I should have to give it up just because other people don't like the idea of me being free to choose my own risks be it a cigarette or an e-cigarette. I also dont' think I could have given up cigarettes any other way, its the actual act of smoking I enjoy, I've gone without nic and cigerettes before in spite of being a heavy smoker, once just on a bet to prove I could. I suppose if this was twenty years ago, I might of taken up pipe smoking instead, woman or not, just to cut out the cigarettes without giving up something I enjoy, but its not and I think e-smoking is the best solution for me, I enjoy it just as much as cigarettes, I enjoy the taste more, enough that that I think I can let that replace the nic.. The other reason, that made this decision final for me, to go completely cigarette free, when I was just considering cutting down at first and when I did so easily, was the raising of MA.'s state tax on cig.'s to nearly four dollars, they can... mm, well you know what they can do. I don't care if the vaping cost me more or less, but I refuse to pay their blackmail tax any longer, especially since I find I don't really miss them now that I've started vaping.

I have to Agree with Kit and a few other on this... I tried quiting smoking for years and years and just couldn't because I actually enjoy smoking... e-Cigarettes have given me the ability to keep smoking but do it in a much healthier way.

I don't say that I have quit smoking, I say that I have quit smoking cigarettes.
