Need instructions on how to drip
So I've finally got a Prodigy, but after only a few days it seems like the atty has died. This is a drip-only, no-cartridge device, so I'm afraid I'm not dripping properly. The problem is, I can't tell exactly how much I'm dripping, because I can't see all the way down to the wick when I've got the dropper stuck down in there! Am I the only one who has trouble with this?
Which side should I err on -- too little or too much?
How can I drip more precisely when I can't see the wick?
What's the best way to resurrect "dead" attys?
Thanks,
~~Cheryl

* Hits 1-7 lets say ... taste wonderful
* Hit 8 tastes kind of *off*
* Hit 9 tastes burnt
The goal is to catch that *off* taste on hit #8 (or whatever hit you may be on) As soon as you recognize, refill.
The moment I hit Hit 8 my throat gets irritated, so I never hit 9
I do 3-4 drops in 901 and 5-6 drops in 801. If I'm mixing by the drop, I ratio accordingly. I tend to do this when I'm sitting at the computer surrounded by samplers :P

Thanks Casey. For now the atty that came with my Prodigy is draining, in hopes that it's not truly dead, and I'm using one that came with an NJoy 801. Before that, I had reluctantly gone back to my pen-styles, mini, and Yeti, all with disappointing results. Once you've gone Prodigy, you never want to go back!
It would be helpful if you could post a video or something showing exactly how to drip. I'm always torn -- if I drip too little, do I risk burning the electronics by running them "dry'? If I drip too much, can I flood it? How do I know how much I'm dripping anyway? I can't see down in there to watch the drops hit the wick.
Thanks for your patience with a noob.
Cheers,

My problem is I can't ever tell exactly how many drops I'm applying, because I can't see all the way down inside the atty with the dropper in there. Do you have magic eyes, or am I just half blind?

Doesn't matter if it directly lands on the atomizer - just drip on the side. This will probably prevent the liquid from hitting the battery as often too..

If you're really concerned about getting it on the bridge then get a syringe. I've really only browsed Dietsmokes.com so far and i know there is one there for $2.95 plus shipping. I'm sure many others sell them as well.

But the instructions say to make sure the liquid doesn't pool in the "ceramic pot," whatever that means. And with the Prodigy, it's supposed to be completely sealed, so no liquid should ever contact the battery, theoretically.
Or have I completely misunderstood?

I can get syringes, without needles, from Walgreen's for free. I needed one to inject some plastic wood into a tight space one time, and they just gave me one. Or are you talking about one with a needle?

with a needle.. otherwise its just about that same as the dropper that the eliquid comes in correct? the smaller needle should help you be able to see what your doing.. plus you can make more precise measurements of how much to drop...
Syringe is meant more for mixing i think.. but like i said. if your concerned about getting right on the bridge, syringe is going to be your best bet i think. Nothing else comes to mind for me atleast.
*EDIT* BTW make sure to file/cut the point down. You are not piercing anything so no need for a sharp point. REALLY don't want to accidentally inject yourself with this stuff.
