Default Ecig v fog machine whats the difference!?

Sorry if this is the most stupid question ever asked but whats the difference between an ecig and a fog machine apart from size and one is powered from the mains and the other battery and one has a massive bottle and the other a small cartridge??

Could one buy a bottle of smoke machine juice and use it in an ecig? Could a fog machine be somehow made into a super ecig? probably too much vapour but maybe a fog machine on a smaller scale? How does a fog machine heat the liquid??

Once again sorry for the stupid topic but having never really had a look inside a fog machine, I am interested!

    Thanks guys!

This has been discussed months ago and the thread long ago disappeared to that Great Post Place in the sky. But "fog" can have at least three formulations that are not like our e-liquid. I would NOT vape a formulation made for creating stage fog. And e-liquid would be far too expensive to pour into a fog machine. Plus, your stage fog has no nicotine, of course.

What we do have, however, are personal vaporizers. Nothing wrong with that.

Damn I must have missed that thread! I suppose its not a good idea to vape fog machine fog theres probably a few things like not being designed to be vaped directly but it would be interesting to see if maybe a small fog machine would make a great home vaping solution! Do smoke machines often need a new 'atomiser'!?

--EDIT-- something like shisha pipes would be very satisfying indeed!! Imagine friends huddled round the shisha ecig pipe as the sun sets in the sky, the aroma of menthol e-liquid in the air....

Hmm just read that they use a large heating element and a heat exchanger! Hmm sounds like a large version of an ecig with a few more parts! Guess that ideas out then! Now how about this shisha pipe...

the fog machine is defiantly a different mix it linkers for a lot longer as well..i work in film and the props department use these machines all the time.. they waft it about with a bit of cardboard and go crazy if anyone opens a door to get out hehehe...after a few hours or so, it always gives me a terrible headache and others feel a little nausea.
but when i bought my very first e-cig ,i thought i might have the same reactions, but ive had none of these symptoms.so it must be different.
I said "NO" to nicotine but he wouldn't listen !

I don't know, I did hear before from someone who works with them, that sometimes vg or pg is used in fog machines as well. Though I wouldn't go buying fog juice and try to vape it.
