As a die-hard 901 fan, I've actually been really surprised/mystified by all the recommendations to noobs to get the 510. While I agree the 510 works well, for me, it definitely does not meet my needs. I need flavor, vapor production and reliability. While the manual 510 does provide good vapor and reliability, I find the hotter atomizer too harsh for my throat, burns out the flavor, and burns through liquid way to fast for my liking.

On the other hand, there are times where I find the automatic 901 battery fussy, but then again, I tend to use battery mods more than the automatic battery. I absolutely love the flavor I get with the 901s, and the vapor production is excellent. Also, I am sold on the reliability of the atomizers....been running the same 4 atomizers since May!

So, now that there are 901 manual batteries out (I'm currently awaiting receipt of mine) and a PCC for the 901, I'm absolutely certain there is no way the 510 could zenith the 901 for me.

On a side note.....I tend to use battery mods with my 901 atomizers for my normal vaping. I only use the 901 batteries when I'm out and about so that I don't look too terribly freakish.

I have to agree that the 901 is much better for flavor. My 510s tend to get that burnt taste way too fast. I am new to the 901 and just got the 801 today. That 801 is awesome for flavor. And what a cloud it produces. I don't think it will leave the house though. I do really like the auto batt on the 901 versus the manual button on the 510. I like to hang the 901 from my mouth and keep on typing. Like I said I am still new and waiting for my Pure Smoker Pass for the 901. That is sure to produce some clouds... Hope it doesn't start raining in my room though...

It sounds like you are ready to step up to the the premiere PV's and leave most of the hassles behind. The batteries last months, get about 6-8 hours on a charge and cost $2. I would suggest checking the best devices out:

The Big Six in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:

    Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Kit / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette e-liquid shop
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
    GG: THE GG
    JantyStick: Janty USA
LV/ZiMoshi:Personal Vaporizers : Hardass Vapor Shop
Super T: Super T, Innovative manufacturer of Personal Vaporizer products.

It leaves the battery aspect behind, but at a prohibitive cost. It does nothing for her complaint of having to carry liquid, but to be honest, that's going to be an issue with ANY pv, not just the 901.

The best bang for the buck, given the modicum of hand-eye coordination required to build it, is the nicostick or similar mod. Half to a third the price of most of the list you provide and at least the equivalent of battery life.

I don't disagree with you. But the majority are not able or willing to build a mod. And I didn't address the liquid issue because that is just part of vaping regardless of which PV you use. At least until someone develops a PV that feeds liquid to the atomizer such as member "tinear's" mod.

    Default 901 is king

i have both, vaped both, and have some manual 901 batts.

510 is nice but does not compare to a 901.
the battery life is Horrible on 510,very hot vapor and did i mention the battery life is horrible(even with a pcc that only holds 1 battery), and leaky carts too

901 with manual battery is king of non mods, great vapor, great flavor, long lasting batteries(as long as a auto for me) no leaking.

to be fair if the 901 didnt exist id like the 510 alot more its a good piece of gear but just not quite as good as 901

Hi There TNA just wonderered where you can purchase the PCC for the DS901, I used to use a car/USB charger but new car switches off 12V socket when locked up so my battery stops charging.

in the UK but any info on where to get PCC for DS901 would be helpful even if they dont export as can talk to the online store i use about getting them in, or get one in from china.

    Thanks

    Default Nhaler

so far the only 901 pcc you can buy is from drew (Nhaler),
it will fit most 901's kr808s and something else but i forget.

or you can mod a 510 PCC like i did
