Angry E-Liquid. Are you getting what you pay for ?

Ordered 15ml of e-liquid yesterday from one of our reputable UK suppliers and i recieved it today no probs and no signs of any leakage.

The thing is , it came in a bottle which was the same size as i previously had from the same supplier but that held 10ml of eliquid.

So I thought ' hold on , that doesn't look like i thought 15ml would look like'

So I retrieve my trusty syringe, this is a medical syringe. For those in the know it's a 10 ml Baxa 'Exacta-med' syringe.

I emptied the contents of the 15ml bottle into the syringe thinking ' 10ml syringe, 15ml of liquid square peg , round hole '

Turns out the whole contents of the bottle went into the syringe. it did go over and above the 10 ml mark on the syringe , but only by approx 2ml worth.

So for the 15ml of liquid i paid for, i actually only got around 12-12.5ml of liquid

Not much in it you may say, but at that rate for every six 15ml bottles i purchase i'm loosing out on 1 full bottle , thats £10.

so , just because a supplier or label says '10ml' , '15ml' or '30ml' doesnt obviously mean that's what your gonna get.

Has anyone else actually measured out what they have recieved and compared it to what you ordered ?

Does anyone else feel they've been short changed or do you trust your supplier implicently ?

No I haven’t checked, but I have some 10ml syringes I could get some 20ml ones so I will try it next time I buy some juice. Thanks for the heads up mate.

it's only the fact it came in the same bottle as a previous 10ml order. If it came in a different bottle i wouldn't have even questioned it.

Obviously I'm not saying it's being done on purpose, but is it being done on a regular basis.

nope, but i will be checking now, naming and shaming.

but at least we dont have micro-chips in our carts that render them useless and un-refillable once the liquid has been used ala certain ink cartridges. LEXMARK im talking to you

    ha ha, well cash,

when a printer company like lexmark decides to sell me a cheap printer for me to discover only after opening the box that the cartridges have a microchip installed that renders the cartridges useless once they have been depleted permitting me to only buy the ink cartridges that they want me to at the exorbitant price that they choose which then causes me to have to return that printer immediately which shaves hours from my day.......

......then the only course of action is for me to write bad reviews of LEXMARK and notify people that some of their printers have cartridges with microchips installed that renders them useless once the ink has been depleted and disables you from re-filling them cheaply at a local business or other.

Lexmark are a company I refuse to deal with. They always have sold cheap printers but rip off cartridges. They deserve to go to that big company graveyard in the sky in my opinion. Epson all the way for me. I got my first Epson over ten years ago. It was a trooper and worked well with good priced cartridges. Every printer I bought after that was Epson. Except whenI once got a Lexmark. First time I had to buy new cartridges I realised it was cheaper to bin the lexmark and go back to Epson.

But anyway, back to the subject at hand. Regardless of weather Carts work out more expensive than e-liquid bought in a bottle. False Advertising is a no no. If someone says 15 ml and then sells you 12ml, that is illegal in the uk and such traders should be named and shamed. But I am sure most traders will be reputable chaps, the shady dealers tend not to last too long. Word of mouth is a powerful tool in the arsenal of the shopper.

Now you mention it, I have ordered from two seperate companies 15ml bottles of ejuice.

Both companies supplied in exactly same shape and size bottle, one companies bottle was filled a good bit more than the others.

I am not one to really bother with raising it, and certainly didnt measure exactly the amounts, but now this has been raised, I will be measuring all my eliquid orders from now on and if needs be, naming and shaming too.

There is enough money to be made selling things legitimately without trying to be cowboys about it and treating the lack of e smoking regulations as the wild west.

Obviously mistakes happen, thats understandable, it's how this progresses now the issue has been made aware of which determines the outcome.
