Yea - I'm sure it does looks funky and even a strip of duck tape around the gap ain't gonna make it better.

But seriously - I just checked 3 Provari's using the edge of a business card as a straight edge. It appears that the 510 connector is the exact height of the drip well. i can slide the edge of the card across the drip well and it doesn't 'catch' on the connector. And holding the edge of the card along the diameter line of the well/connector there's no gap between the card and connector. (that was my scientific/engineering method of checking it).

I'm sure you probably tried everything, but I'll butt in with this suggestion. If it's a DCT type tank can you push the carto down into the tank a bit more. With my Lavatubes, I have to position the carto just slightly recessed into the tank at the drip tip end, so when I screw it down, there is a airspace gap.

I haven't heard anyone talking about this type of problem in the Provape or Provari forums. If perchance your connector is misaligned - rest assured Provape will make good on it. They have very good customer service. I had to send one of mine back and turn-around time was a week, so its speedy too.

I'm still curious what type, brand, kind of tanks you are using. You didn't mention that.

Watts do not matter. Its all about wire temperature.

What I've done to solve the problem is use the dremel to cut an air groove across the bottom of the bottom delrin end cap of the tanks.

The only thing that crosses my mind tho' is 'what a senseless design error'! An APV of that quality/price should work properly without jerry rigging it.

Just using a conventional 3ohm Boge in a J-tank. So like most any old tank.

Not for me. I don't want anything I have to mess with.

Happy birthday and if I am understanding you correctly...wouldn't it be simpler to add an extender?

The mini is a pretty nice little PV, except ...... geez Provape, the connector only needs to be 1/64 in. higher than the juice well to solve the draw issues when using a tank! Hate the idea that I might have to take a dremel to the top of the juice well just so that the connector can get some air.

It's got a post/plunger that you push down in order to fill the tank which is what evidently keeps any juice from leaking into the tip to get in your mouth. It does seem to leak a drop or 2 from the bottom when filling though so it's best to remove it from the battery when filling. I'd seen Lord Davon's review so knew that could happen. Guess there will be a "new and improved" one come out in a few minutes that will correct that. Here's the link to the review -

Those are very interesting and I've been looking at them for a while. If they held a more juice I would have already tried them. Keep us posted on how they hold up.
This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it!

I have some of the kanger bottom coils. The plunger that has to be depressed to fill it grows old real fast. I have had the tanks crack on 2 of the 4 I bought. I won't buy these again.

Do you think a 3' long goose neck would look nicer?

Yes I know I can use an extension, but what's the point of buying a Mini if I need to make it longer.

Hey guys....need some advice. I have a friend coming to visit in a couple weeks. He will be staying for 10 days...and is very interested in checking out the whole vaping thing. I wanst to set him up with a clearo and a battery to use while he is here. He is a heavy menthol smoker....so I need to get some juice for him. I believe he used to smoke Kools, and has been doing the menthol RYO route for the past several months. I asked him if he liked the menthol light, moderate, or heavy...and he said heavy. Since I don't do menthol....I don't have good ideas where to go for the juice. I'm thinking one of the naturually extracted tobacco juices with heavy menthol....maybe HHV....but which one???? Need something that doesn't require super long steeping since he will be here in 2 weeks.

    Any recommendations??????

The cracking tanks killed my interest in these. I had thought about the t2's since some were saying they were much better than the stardusts, but there's just no reason I can see for any manuf. to still be using the plastic that cracks in any clearos at this point.

that's really sweet of ya Harley. No ideas on the juice though. I never could smoke menthols, and don't like minty juice cept for when my tastebuds go to sleep.
