Question voltage output vs nic strength

Ok so this was touched on in another thread but I think is worth exploring. I vape using an Ltv9 (the smoke51 version) and that sucker runs hot. So hot I can char a cart in less then 10 puffs. But here's where it gets odd. I am using 4mg and 6mg carts. They completely satisfy my nicotine craving. When I smoked analogs I smoked marlboro milds which is a medium menthol. My usage was 2 packs per day or more. Now someone stopped by my kiosk and let me try an se gold loaded with 24mg vanilla icecream from johnson creek I swear it was weak. totally did not hit the spot. and yet if i take 4 puffs on a 51 8mg cart I am feeling dizzy and lightheaded and it hurts my throat! So why does 24mg from one company effect me FAR less then an 8mg from another? Is it the voltage? Any thoughts?

I'm not going to comment on the nicotine itself but I have a similar experience. I started with a smoke51 starter about a month ago and since then have purchased a u9 passthru and some 12mg eliquid from nhaler. I find that I get the best vapor experience with a fresh smoke51 6mg cart. But after only about 30 minutes of regular use, the vapor production drops considerably and I start topping it off with the liquid. However, no matter how much liquid I add, I can never get as much vapor as I do from the fresh smoke51 cart.

Honestly, as much as I like the nhaler liquid, I really wish there was a way to order the smoke51 liquid. That ..... produces a ton of vapor on a very light draw, I love it! Too bad fresh smoke51 carts are so damn expensive.

after smokin my 901 all day, i fired up the VK. The vk with the same juice made me almost dizzy. I think the VK produces more volume, and i *know* it produces much warmer vapor. it's my guess that the nicotine transfer works better with slightly warmer vapor..although i've also heard that overheating it (510 can do this) makes it turn sideways, grow fangs, and turn your throat inside out...particularly if you stand on the button pre drag forever.

i also expect, but cant confirm as i dont own one..that the 510 packs as mighty if not more mighty of a nic whack as a VK. primarily due to the manual battery and the usual preheating of the atty prior to drag.

Okay, I've been kind of harping on this subject for a while and I've had a few observations.

    1. I'm pretty sure smoke51 uses VG based liquid. I noticed when I started cutting my liquid with VG for my 510, the vapor output was more similar to the cartmoizers.

    2. The pull on the ltv9 as well as the VK (KR808D1) is much thicker and harder than my 510. Not sure exactly how this affects nic absorption but it is certainly far more "cigarette-like"

    3. The vapor on the ltv9 as well as the VK is much warmer than the vapor on my 510. I think this is the biggest factor here. The temperature on the cartomizers is much closer than the temperature on real smoke. Again, not sure how this affects nic absorption but it certainly makes the hit stronger and more satisfying.

I think factors 2 and 3 are the ones which best address Mac's original question. I've heard that using on 901 flat tip carts on a 510 increase vapor as well as temperature. I've got to give this a try.

I have come to realize that 51's duo is no longer an LTV9. I can't figure out what is but after putting them next to each othr they are definitely not the same thing.

I have batteries from smoke51, epuffer (EAZE Magnum), .......... (E9) and a passthru (U9). All the batts fit the smoke51 carts and charge off of the same USB charger from epuffer (my smoke51 charger broke in the first week). I have to conclude that the are all LTv9 models, although the thread count on the batts are a little different and they all pull a little different. Overall, I would say the epuffer batteries are the best. If you regularly use the smoke51 product, I would suggest trying the epuffer batteries. I also saw that nhaler has a PCC that supposedly fits these batteries. I'm going to order one today because I believe a PCC case will nearly perfect this model. Now if only I could find a cheap supplier of cartomizers.

The big difference I see between 51's duo and the other models is that 51's device is vented. it has two little holes under the fitting. This seems unique to their product. At least I have yet to find another that is vented. Also 51 should replace that bad charger for you. have you called them and told them it stopped working? They have always replaced any electronic component that fails for me although admittedly I am a reseller so they have far more of a vested interest in replacing stuff for me then a customer.
On an added note I have had a great deal of success dripping into LT carts with bestecig liquid and using the duo device. That definitely will stretch your dollar.

This wep is so far the chepest e-cig product I have ever seen. They have LTV9 cartomizer. But never order from them yet, not sure if it is a fake or not.
