Default Longer battery life, anyone?

So, I just found something I thought ya'll might like while snooping around one of my favorite sites.

www . thinkgeek . com/gadgets/travelpower/b4b6/

Sorry about the lack of being able to post links just yet, but im sure taking a couple spaces out isnt to difficult.

Anyway, I figure since most PV models have a USB adapter available this would be worth mentioning. It's a portble USB plug. You could throw it in you bag (or pocket, seeing as its roughly the size of an iphone) and plug in a spare battery. Or you could always just hook up a passthrough and have a battery that would last you a week.

Anyone think it's a good idea?

The idea is good. Do a search on "kensington". There is no 'output' listed at the site and didn't google the manufacturer but to run a passthrough you need at least 1amp output. Many wall plugs and car lighter plugs don't meet that requirement and I doubt that this one does looking at the input figures.... could be wrong though.

I'll have to look that up when i have more time..
But at least it could keep your batts charged on the go.
Perhaps it could even be worked into a homemade PCC?

You're right on the battery charger - doesn't take that much, but I'd guess no on a homemade PCC but go for it! :-)

Hubby took this apart and is using the battery inside to make me a 5V box mod. (You need 2 of them. One to take the battery out of, the other to charge them. You now have 2 batteries for your box)

Fits in a 4AA battery box with room for a juice pump.

Gonna be sweet!

I was actually able to make my own battery that actually last 22 hours.
