Apollo changed formula, now i'm really mad.

Ive been using Apollo Extreme kit for some time now, with their prefilled menthol cartomizers. Last shipment i noticed a taste perversion, along with some new packaging. Thought i had a bad cart so trashed it and opened another....yuck. Got ahold of customer service yesterday and they verified that they have indeed altered their tobacco and menthol juice to "taste more like a real cigarette". It tastes like hell, like smoking a dried up tube of crest toothpaste. I loved their pure clean menthol flavor before, not minty, not mouthwashy, just menthol. I can't even use the ones i just stocked up on. So pissed, took me a long time to find this perfection, and they trashed it. Can you tell i'm mad? Any idea what to try with a menthol throat hit that doesnt taste like scope mouthwash? Needs to fit on my apollo extreme battery. Great battery, now need new menthol. Grrrrrrrr

It is a large 906 battery. And yes they do sell blanks but ive never done that before. I will learn though if i can find a pure non mouthwashy menthol with good throat hit. I vape the medium 12 mg, or i did until they ruined the taste.

I've never heard of a 906 so I can't recommend any pre-filled replacements.
So yeah, you'll be wanting to get blanks and refill them yourself.

I would recommend a good juice to buy, but I don't do menthol.

But there are plenty of threads about good menthol juice if you want to do a search.
And I'm sure a bunch of people will be stopping by here soon enough with their recommendations.

Also i have some leftover v4l 808 prefilled cartos that taste 'average' to me but im desperate right now, and the threads work great, but cant get air through!

The thread on the Extreme is dse 901. A lot of suppliers can provide adapters to fit other juice holders. I buy 510 cartomizers and tanks and my wife uses a 901 to 510 adapter on her Extreme batteries.

I only used one box of prefilled cartos after learning here that you can buy them blank or refill the ones you have. I would consider ordering menthol juice from a few suppliers in 5-10 ml bottles and find one you like. Then order bigger bottles and get some caps with needles for the bottles and fill your own cartos.

In no time at all you'll be ordering small barrels of PG and VG and nicotine liquid and mixing your own. My all day vape is a home brew menthol that's 50/50, 12 mg with just menthol flavoring and some sweetner (sucralose).

The cartomizers can also be cleaned and are good until they burn out.
