Default VIVI MINI "WARNING"? LEAKING? Anyone know the deal before we all buy???

Mini Vision Vivi Nova 2ml now in stock !!!

This looks like some reference to cloud 9 having mini leaking problems... Anyone know the deal? I want ECF people to know BEFORE our vendors release a piece of crap on us and then tell us "oops". There's too much of that going on these days... There's too much of "oh, our new model sucks, you mod it then buy our 2.1". I'm looking forward to the mini but GOD HELP THE VENDOR WHO SELLS US ALL LEAKY BUGGED CRAP!

So any info on this would be appreciated. TY. This just 1 vendor? One shipment?

on c9v it says "Temporarily withdrawn from sale whilst we source thicker seals for the bottom portion."

Yes, I read that... This just makes me cringe imagining ECF members flocking to buy a mound of these soon to be released and find this was a model problem not just one vendor. Ralikar's warning: you may want to wait and see some posts instead of dropping $100 first day. I know I'll be waiting a bit...

Got Vapes posted a note about this. Vision found a problem, and says it is now fixed. GV delayed their shipment until the problem was fixed. Believe they are due later this week.

    To clarify:

    1. SOME Vision Mini ViVi Nova units seem to be leaking where the plastic tank joins the metal base and they would appear to need a different kind of seal.
    2. I did not experience the problem myself in testing and still have not managed to replicate the reported leaking myself.
    3. As far as I am aware, this is not restricted to any particular vendor, it's potentially all Mini ViVi Nova kits that came out in the first round.
    4. Vision have not yet identified a fix, and until we have one, they will not go on sale again.
    5. Our customers having problems received their Mini ViVi Nova free of charge in a competition, before they actually went on sale.
    6. Due to reports from these customers, we identified there was a problem VERY quickly and only sold 9 kits prior to withdrawing them from sale.
    7. As yet, none of those who actually purchased the product have reported a problem to us.
    8. We will fix those already out there and all our remaining stock as soon as Vision have come up with an appropriate fix.

It's extremely disappointing to me, cos I've been using it since I got it and I love it and want everyone else to be able to experience it, so waiting for the fix is agonising....

Vision have communicated their fix with me, and sent me a load of new seals which, when I receive them, I will test fully, and send to my competition winners for all of them to test also, before I upgrade the rest of my stock and place them back on sale.
My feeling is that these additional seals will resolve the problem fully, but I reserve judgement until we've got more feedback.

I've just ordered one from a UK supplier and I know its going to be the V1. Bugger.

Maybe I should cancel and wait a bit.

(Mind you if it didn't leak, crack, burn, or trash ego threads it wouldn't be an early revision Vision product. )

All ours are fixed in case anyone's wondering.
Interestingly, I've never had a Vision product that did any of those things you mention apart from the leaking some people experienced on this Mini ViVi Nova tank before the seals were added.....
There are a lot of copies and left-over stocks of older versions of stuff left out there, so maybe that's what you've been experiencing?

I have one and immediately ran into a different problem (mine does not leak).
Because of the design of the SS Vtube the air flow is completely closed off with a nova tank without using an extension, which I didn't want to use.

Easy fix with a dermel tool.
