You might want to try "Kanka" it is a mouth pain liquid oral anesthetic made by Blistex. You can buy it at Target or probably any cvs or walgreens but I bought it at Target. Good luck!

I haven't had this problem or heard of anyone else who has until now. But this does remind me of all my previous attempts at giving up that had my tongue developing what I could only call "canyons" - like those a kid's scooter leaves in your lawn.

I just checked in the mirror - they're back! .

Try to put some triamcinolone acetonide orabase paste over the aphthae. Here in Brazil I recommend it to my patients.

I'm not gonna go through and reply to all these posts cause there's too many but there are many possibilities in them that could be causing it ...or once again it could be coincidence that I got the cuts. But it doesn't sound far fetched that the vaping dries my mouth out often and I don't always re-wet it with a drink..and maybe that dryness is doing something. That might be it.

And to whoever said it sounds really serious, it's not a big deal..the cuts heal slowly and there's only like 2 or 3 small ones...they just hurt a real lot when I ingest certain drinks or use my Cinnamon toothpaste! Owwww that's the fricken worst!

If cuts heal slowly I would RUN to my doctor, have some blood drawn to look at my liver function.

Also when I vape, the "smoke" does not get between my upper lip and gums.
So something else is going on..
I would have it checked out, if I were you.

Cuts take longer to heal if tissue is wet and in movement so to speak. I have heard of some gel that creates water resistant surface and is used in place of bandadges for small cuts.

But 3 things to minimize exposure of vapor in mouth come to mind:
-stick the cig little further into your mouth and/or swap sides from time to time
    -exhale through nose
    -vape straight to lungs

I suppose you have had this problem for like years?

Oh and Dr. House would probably diagnose it as herpes.

Several people I know have mouth ulcers as a result of giving up smoking - I think you'll probably need to go on patches or something for a couple of weeks to allow the ulcers (if that's what they are!) to heal.

As someone said earlier - go see your dentist, better safe than sorry...............
