I checked out the site and I'm not so sure. I just got into Ecigs less than two weeks ago. One think I like is that it does not use tobacco. Plume does.

$5.95 for five 'pods' doesn't sound to good to me. Each on lasts five to ten minutes. That's $6.00 for twelve cigarettes. That leaves me out. I would rather vape all day on a few ML of liquid. I don't think I would want to have a butane device in my mouth all day.

I think you meant to say $5.95 for 12 pods, since you said $6 for twelve cigarettes...?

I got one today... they don't fill the pods like they explained in the patent filing. There's very, very little filling in them. At least, in the ones I got. There aren't two 'layers' a wet and dry layer.. just a bit of wet herbal mix stuck to the sides of the pod. Maybe they'd work better if they actually bothered to fill them properly.

I got my invite a couple days ago and was going back and forth on whether or not to get one. I recently got an Iolite vaporizer and I am liking it well enough that even though I think Ploom pods are overpriced, I like the concept enough to give it a try.

From what I've read and seen of the Ploom, it looks like has a LOT in common with the iOlite but with a more cigarette-like form factor and obviously a smaller vaporization chamber. If this could operate like a butane powered micro-hookah (which is what it really looks to be), this could very well be worth the price of admission.

...and for those who worry about using a lot of butane, the iOlite uses about 1ml of butane per hour of operation...and it seems like the Ploom is similar.
