These people could easily take a bunch of money from me.
The descriptions make it sound like an herbal vaporizer (I'm hoping for hookah flavors without the mess), as such it would not count as an e-cig. I think herbal vapes are considered pipes.

Anyhoo, some first hand accounts would be very welcome.

OKAY, let me start off by saying that the device is very very sleek and pleasing to the eye. It's got a bit of weight to it about 1.5x what a penstyle would weigh. Vapor production= Minimal at best! it is still in its r&d stage so they're tweaking it as time goes on. The device has a charging time , more like a conventional vaporizer i.e The Volcano Vaporizer. It's a good attempt at something that's already been done better. Now let me get started on the "Tasting" , it started at 12pm at a club a few miles from my place. To say the least the place was "interesting" felt totally out of place, it was a fashion designer event. LOL! i don't even know how i got in, i guess its my charming looks and suave talk. I would have stayed longer but it was getting a bit too....weird? ... it wasn't my cup of tea except for the lounge where the girls we're hanging out at . OH! and as for the "pods" They contain tobacco, "herbs", and natural flavors. lol. it did taste well though my friends....it did taste well... Didn't hear anything on release dates... like i said earlier its still in its R&D stages...very strange....san francisco people.... very....strange....

Missed it! Though the thought of hanging out with a bunch of hipsters at a "pre-playa trunk show" (wtf??) makes me want to ...do my laundry instead. Can't they just show the product without all of the lingo and a DJ? Does "reimagining the smoking paradigm" have to involve so much gloss? Ok, i'm getting off topic. SF (and you hipsters with your skinny jeans) - you know i love you! Ploom, ...I reserve judgement. I'm definitely on for the next event.

I saw this Ploom thing posted on here probably about 6 months ago , and they were having a tasting party with a bunch of yuppie new age hipster tools . I just don't think this is something I would want to use it will probably cost as much as a Volcano being that it is marketed to the well to do socialite crowd .

Ok so it does look cool and I did add myself to the list but what I dont like is it says "There is nothing big about our Tobacco"............I only want the nic..is that not the point of PV's in the first place is to get away from all the crap in the tobacco?

Not a lot is known about this product yet. I think the idea is the device will heat the tobacco to the point it produces a vapor without producing any combustion. This allows inhaling nic and flavor without tar or carcinogens. Still waiting for more information. I had signed up a while back, just checked my email and have received same one mentioned above.
