Default Lowering the nicotine levels in liquid

Ok I have read about making your own liquid etc etc.....but I am sooo confused about how I can take e-liquid I buy and make it lower. For instance I want to make low liquid....Can I do that with Medium liquid or do I need to buy high liquid to cut it to make low? Do I just add some PG to it? Can anyone explain this to me in simple terminalogy?

Hi Tumbleweed, you should have no problem making low from medium eliquid. Get some glycerine or propylene glycol and just mix it with the commercial juice in proportions you want for strength, eg if you start with 11mg eliquid and dilute with glycerine 50%, you'll end up with a 5.5mg mix.

You adjust proportions to get the strength you want. The glycerine also smooths the flavour so you might find it reduces the throat harshness. There are some threads about flavourings on the diy eliquid board if you need to add some.

I think propylene glycol is a synthetic version of vegetable glycerine. For our purposes there isn't much else different, glycerine metabolises to glucose and pg to lactic acid. Both produce visible vapour.

Using that method you'll also lower the taste and hit which is not what most people want.
If, for example, you buy 8mg liquid and mix it 1:1 with 0mg liquid you get 4mg liquid and keep the same taste and hit.

Ok so I got the liquid and was going to mix the liquid with glycerin but wow that stuff is thick! I surely can't use a syringe to measure 1 ml. How am I supposed to make it not so thick? Am I supposed to used water?

Don't Dilute the glycerin itself. It is thick (and very sweet btw). Just kind of eye it. I use a syringe with an 18g needle and although it is a struggle, it eventually works

You can also try like an eye/ear dropper. Those work well!
