Original white 901 matt atomiser
Original shiny 901 atomiser
901b black
901b pink/other
No difference at all
I initally bought 2 black 901s and have rarely used them because they have vapor but no throat hit what so ever. I kept hearing that everyone loved their 901 for the throat hit and could not understand it becuase I didn't have any. So I just bought a white 901 and wow there is definetly a difference! Now I did buy them from different people; I wonder if that matters?
FAIL? What is this slashdot?
There are several manufacturers, and they don't all use 901 and 901b the same way. For some, the only difference is the packaging. Some have 901c's and 901e's. And of course, some manufacturers use different model numbers entirely for the same device. At least one supplier on this forum is selling a 901 that actually comes with a different model number, and just uses the 901 name for convenience.
I think originally it was the 901 and the 901b as in model A and model B. Since the introduction of the pink model, the 901b has been referred to as the b meaning black, but I think the black and pink models both fall under "b".
I think also that the original 901 was the matte white, while the gloss white would also fall under "b". This is why users tend to see similar vapor between the gloss white, black, and pink while users with the matte white seem to have more vapor, but it seems less reliability.
So... All gloss 901's should be classed "b" and all matte 901's should be classed "a". This can be further subdivided by color, as in 901bb, 901bp, 901bw, etc. I guess blue would be 901bbl?
God you guys know your stuff! Thank you!
There was one point in the 901s history where is was glossy and the battery had stripes!
Wow! Well, I hope there will be some point in 901 future in which it is glossy AND metallic purple with a pinky purple LED. Sexy!
Oh, I'm hoping on Monday I will be ready to do my 901 review involving serious testing of multiple black/white/pink atomisers. I'm awaiting a couple more matt white ones and am very keen to see if they perform as well as my current matt white one. So much of it does boil down to you vaping technique though....thanks for that Rat in the Hat!! Your videos seriously helped me.
