my hypochondria must be kicking in.

after a little less than a month, the one black 901 atomizer i have been using constantly is starting to get a little harder to hit & less produce. bum out. i have been dripping janty ry4 ~25-40 drops a day (2 at a time) and using about 1 battery per day (have 3 to rotate).

does that sound about average? seems to...

Thankfully, I'm not post people. It's pretty natural for me to get home, hook the new battery into the charger, change out the atomizer, and rejuice and move onto my entirely too busy life. Course, I take the time to change my underwear everyday, too. I guess, I can't determine their true longevity because I''m not wearing the same ones everyday.
I can't help it! Maybe I'm just giddy over Hanes' newest hot pink floral design! You're right, there's a good chance I'll get over both habits and use the same everyday...until I get over the--what was it?--toy factor?

Life is full of niggles and inadequacies. Owners of rose colored glasses freak when the unexpected taints their pseudo world, so they usually take it the hardest. Those without your fancy glasses realize like is full of speed bumps and imperfections. We stay cheerful because we're not as affected. We accept the niggles, skip over the inadequacies, and keep looking for the brighter beam we know is out there. I guess some people roll with the punches and some people get bitter beer face, then do everything they can to cram it down the throats of everyone else.
...But to each his own, I guess.

The problem is, trog, it's not just about being negative. It's deliberate because you're quite selective in your choice of words, phrases and "digs." I respect people's opinion's (despite the majority differing from my own). That's different, however, from someone trying to exert their experience with the "I'm SO over that phase and have moved on and everyone who is in that phase is beneathe me" attitude.
A newby's excitement is also their inspiration. They draw from the idea that this CAN work, and just because they might be lively and more self expressive than you might've been, doesn't mean they're like a new kid in the candy story. Perhaps that's how they take ALL of life. Perhaps they always try to stay fun, or positive, or excited. Because THAT is what they draw their strength from.

Years...and years...and years...ago, I started reading electronically. One year the Academy presented their awards using an ebook. I'd been waiting an eternity for society to get on board. When they finally did, and were oh so excited about it, did I sit around on my holier-than-thou throne and mock their excitement? Yeah...NO. That's what I initially wanted, right? Thank god, so many got on board! Then again...that's me.

Ah, what comes to mind here is one of my favorite phrases: "What people judge most about others is what they really hate about themselves."

I'm sorry to hear that you stumbled onto e-cigs because you're in the "the gee wow whiz buy everything on the planet phase," but I'm still happy you discovered them. I discovered them because I was looking for a way to help myself not die sooner than necessary.
    But, again, we're all different.
Peace, my brother! Oh, and I accept your apology for being so negative. We all have our moments.

I really don't know what average is because I change mine out constantly. Like to give the little guy a break at the end of my work day. I go through maybe 3 batteries a day. So far so good with both the atomizers and the batts.
Honestly, when one dies, aside from taking it a part to see what makes it tick (translation: making hubby take it a part), I'll probably just buy a couple of new ones.
NOTHING last forever, right? This is new to all of us and our smoking needs vary. So atomizer lives will vary as well. In all the reading I've done, I don't think there's an exact answer for this yet.

Actually, one of her points was about wearing rose-colored glasses:

"Life is full of niggles and inadequacies. I guess some people roll with the punches and some people get bitter beer face, then do everything they can to cram it down the throats of everyone else.
...But to each his own, I guess"

I think her point was that yes, life is full of the unexpected but we'll just try and take it all in stride. Most people here are willing to accept the downfalls of e-cigs because of the positive changes it brings to their lives. I think a lot of newcomers that visit these forums do so to get more info about e-cigs from people who have been using them longer. We appreciate the knowledge-sharing, even when its negative.

However, when someone who has been smoking for a long time has tried to cut down or quit several times without success and then finds a product that helps them do so, they will be excited about that. Nothing wrong there. Saying that people are in a "new toy" phase may be true to a certain extent, but the way you sounded in your post was a little condescending. I feel like I am getting to "know" some of the people here on the forums; if you've read Cass' story, she was a very heavy smoker who is proud (and should be!) about the accomplishments that she has made since trying e-cigs. Point is, I took your post as a taking the air right out of her sails. And despite a negative response to her comment, she still found a positive response back to you. That is why I said I like her outlook on life...

Okay, I am not trying to start a flame war here Just trying to explain myself a bit further and how I see things as a mostly quiet observer of this forum world Forgive me if I've stepped on any toes here

u aint reading on any toes.. but i am continually being attacked for being none happy bunny negative about our new "things"..

cass is pretty much doing just that.. she is a writer and churns out the written word like a machine gun.. and it isnt new to all of us.. just some of us.. and as long a we covers up the faults that anyone who has used them for some time are fully aware of.. the people who make and sell us them will do nothing about improving things..

there is a positive side to my negatively.. my aim is to get us better e cigs..

there is also a negative side to happy bunny land.. it gives the makers and sellers no incentive to improve things.. why bother if all the bunnies are happy with what they have...

You definitely have a point that manufacturers won't do anything if we just accept the fact that batteries and atomizers die too soon. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Like I said, I'm happy I found this forum so that I won't be surprised when these things happen to me. It is nice to learn about the good and bad of e-cigs. An internet forum wouldn't be complete without people sharing their thoughts and opinions, however different people might be about expressing them

Well, I don't even have my first e-cig yet, so I can't vote here, but it is nice to read what other people have experienced in atomizer life...

My 901b has been going well since I got it about a month ago, though I have been swapping it out with a few others I bought, keeping an untracked rotation going.
