I find the Joye 510 is a great little device for someone new to e-cigs. You can buy carts, refill carts, or drip on the atty. It's a great performing device. The battery life sucks, but that's easily remedied with a Personal Charging Case and an extra battery or two. Great vapor and throat hit, and darn good on flavor, as well. It will work very well for you. I own a 510 and a Janty Stick, and prefer my 510. It's just a workhorse of a little PV.

I would agree AngusATAT but I have only used the 510 but it got both me and hubby off analogs I smoked for over 20 years and he smoked for almost 20. I am glad I did my research on this forum and that my friend did most of the leg work and I got the right setup the first time instead of buying something like the smoking everywhere from the mall. So many people seem disappointed with those.

Blair if you do not mind me asking how much did you smoke before you switched over? You say a cart lasts you all day I was just wondering.

Many thanks to DonDaBoomvape for his unbiased advise and to Blair for his recommendations. Prior to finding this forum, I ordered from smoke51 with a free trial. something must have been wrong with the battery. I was also very impatient waiting for the smoke51. It took 10 business days and before it arrived, I ordered what Blair recommended. It got here in 3 days. i believe this will truely allow me to stop analogs. Are ecig's therefore digital? Joke

Just a little update, I'm still doing the KR808 + mist-stix setup and have been using it for a few months now. Quite happy with how it's going and just having 2 or 3 batteries with a pocket charger gets me through most days and nights.

I'm tempted to try the 510 but I'm not sure what advantage if any it will lend over my current setup. Anyone care to compare?

I smoked about a pack a day for 12 years. One full cart on the KR808 seems to do fine for a day but of course your mileage may vary.

Well, I will go slightly against the crowd and say that for some noobs, Blair is right about the KR808D-1 model. I started with the 901, and I love it, but I'm more techie/gadget oriented that some. The whole maintenance/filling/dripping, etc. turns some people off -- they just don't want to "fiddle around" with this stuff.

I bought a 901 kit for my mom; she's 77 and in the beginning stages of dementia. The refilling carts and maintenance stuff was just too overwhelming for her. So I have now ordered the KR for her; the cartomizers will be perfect since all she has to do is plop one of them on and start vaping. Plus I got the PCC kit for her, so I'll charge it up before giving it to her. Then she doesn't even have to worry about the batteries, since I'll make sure her PCC case is charged up each time I see her.

So congrats to Blair for vaping, and to all those who take her advice about this model. You can always move to something else later if you want.

Blair is my new hero, research isn't a four letter word! Blair did the reading, and everything prior to asking for opinions from people. He educated himself a bit got a kit, used it and learned what he wanted and didn't want in a E-Cig model and now can make an informed decision not just wandering in here and asking what they should buy and where.

In answer to your question regarding the 510, I may be in the minority here but I actually prefer my Dragon (m401) to the 510. The taste is far superior, as is the battery life between charges (a major consideration for me), and in my mind my Dragons hit better than my 510's, but maybe it's me or I have some exceptional Dragons I really don't know. I do know that at this point I am just about ready to put these 2 new 510's I have up for sale or trade soon if I don't get a mod for it first. I have a sneaky suspicion that if I get a 6v mod for the 510 I will then love it. It is slowly growing on me so I can't sit here and just badmouth it, it is a fine vapor producer, and just when I think the taste is not going to get any better is seems to, it's like it has a split personality at times. As with all things like these it's a matter of personal taste I suppose. I do know that you can't go wrong with a 510 or m401 style, either one is a fine E-Cig that will be a useful tool in helping you to quit smoking tobacco.

    Retired: Dragon
    , 510, Magnum Mod, KR808D-1.
    In Use: GreenCig, JuiceBox.

Anyway, congrats on getting off analogs. You're making the tax collectors cringe
