Went through quite a bit of trial and error and frustration with the e-cig learning curve. But now I'm pretty happy and totally off analogs. I thought I'd share my current e-cig setup that has satisfied me so far after myself and 2 friends going through quite a few vendors and trials to find what we like a month in. Currently I've got 3 KR808D-1 batteries and a personal pocket charger from NHaler. Great prices, fast, cheap, and great service. Highly recommend them for getting your vaping equipment. The carts I got from them were a mixed bag, but not bad. I tried cartomizers from quite a few vendors, and found my favorite ones from Mist-Stix to be the best for quality, price, flavor, and amount of vapor. They've got a great selection and really affordable prices. So if you're new to e-cigs and looking for a great starter setup, get an KR808D-1 e-cig kit with the pocket charger from NHaler and some cartomizers from mist-stix. My recommended setup to start:

Looks like you are well on your way! Congrats! It's an amazing product..E-cigs. I love mine. A question for you..can you refill cartomizers? There are so many wonderful juices out there and mixing them in your cart is kind of neat (chocolate cherry, coffee and vanilla ect) I don't know as I have a 901 and they are refillable or I can buy carts already filled. Drew at Nhaler is a really good guy! Welcome to ECF! |

Carts are much more expensive than using liquid to refill your own and there is much more variety with liquid than there is with prefilled carts, also.

I recommend that newbies should start with cartomizers and then test out dripping over time and as they get more comfortable. There's a lot to grasp without even dealing with the drip issue. Yes you can refill KR808 cartomizers easily. Just drip into the end. The cartomizers from mist-stix are only $7 for a pack of five so at $1.40 per cart and a really good long vapor on each makes them a good value (mine last me about a day or more each so far). They also sell bottles of fluid and do-it-yourself carts so newbies can start to test those waters as they go. Personally I'm still dealing with the finer issues of dripping. For instance, I still haven't determined the right amount to drip in an empty cart to get a good vapor but not overfill. But also, being on vacation and traveling a lot lately has made me not interested in dealing with dripping again till I get home. |

You are not dripping. You are topping off or refilling. Two different things.

Okay? That's a kind of vague mysterious answer. Is dripping something different than putting liquid in an empty cartomizer?

Yea, dripping is the act of dripping from the e-liquid bottle directly into the atomizer. You can see some vids about it on Youtube. |

Too many new users, are told to get this, get that, do this & do that before they know what vaping is all about. Then they fail, and get discouraged. (Not to mention flushing $$ down the crapper.) Dripping juice into a cartridge is simply "refilling". "Dripping" refers to removing the cartridge and dripping juice directly on the atomizer. This is done on models with cartridges that can be removed from the atomizers. I'm unfamiliar with cartomizers, and have never used one, so I'll leave this to a cartomizer person. Keep doing your research. You're doing good. There are a lot more tricks to make vaping even better than you know it now.

Mist-Stix coupon code ECF is no longer working. Does anyone know if there is a new one?

Since a KR808D-1 (or Loong Totem or Greencig) cartomizer is a combined cartridge and atomizer, when you refill it (through the hole at the battery end), that could be considered "dripping" and/or "topping off." For this type of device, the distinction is moot. IM(not so H)O
